You are not here

I feel the calm in the storm.
Everything is still.
I can breathe,
But you are not here.

The days are hard.
The nights harder.
I wake still hoping,
That you would appear.

I think of what was,
And then of what's not.
No matter how hard I try,
I can't stop.

The days blend,
All grouped together,
Filled with distractions,
To keep my mind off you.

They say to be with friends,
That it will make it easier,
But you are still gone,
And there's nothing I can do.

I try to sleep,
But my nights are haunted by you.

I try to run,
But I see the memories of you.

I try to eat,
But I'm left with nothing to do.

Nothing will change.
I wish you to come back.
I will cry and beg,
With everything, I have left.

You are dead.
You are gone.
Your memories are all that is left.
