The doors to the ship were forced open and they were greeted by a bunch of people in First Order uniforms.
"Get out of the ship now!!" Someone in an all-black uniform demanded.
They hesitated but once blasters were pointed at all of them, people began to slowly walk off the ship. Kaura followed. Look confused, she reminded herself.
Kaura walked down the ramp of the ship onto the slick black floor and looked around. It was unsettling for her to see a large group of storm troopers standing perfectly lined up outside.
"This way!" The man in the black uniform yelled as he walked down a hallway.
The group followed him silently and some storm troopers walked behind them to make sure they complied. They were led down a hallway and as Kaura walked past a bunch of workers for the First Order, she couldn't help but notice they all had a scowl on their face.
They were led to a room down the hall.
"This is your interrogation chamber." The man said. "Kylo-Ren will be questioning you shortly."
Kaura's eyes widened with shock. She didn't expect to run into Kylo-Ren himself, much less be interrogated by him.
The uniformed man opened the door and him and the storm troopers waited for everyone to walk inside. They all shuffled in before he slammed the door close, leaving them locked in there alone.
It was a small, cube-shaped room with all white walls and a white floor. There was a platform with a door behind it halfway up one of the walls.
They were all pretty crammed in there and Kaura could sense all the panic in the room. The waiting is what got her. She also remembered that she had an illegal droid and a lightsaber in her bag and that didn't help ease her nerves.
Kaura wondered if Kylo-Ren would use torture to get information from them. She hoped he wouldn't since there were so many of them. But even if he bought that they were simple travelers, would he let them go?
Then Kaura remembered what Poe said over the screen. We're coming back for you. She had to have faith in them. All they had to do was stall.
After what felt like hours, but was only a few minutes, the door behind the platform opened. Kaura looked up and watched someone with black robes and a mask step out. She recognized the mask in an instant; it was Kylo-Ren.
The second Kaura laid eyes on him, she felt a weird sinking feeling in her chest that she couldn't explain. It was more than just being scared of him. She felt as if she knew him and they were somehow connected. That was ridiculous, though. She had never met one of the highest leaders of the First Order.
Kaura also felt like she could feel Kylo's presence. She could sense the hatred and anger inside him, but most of all she sensed deep conflict. Kaura had had a rough life, but she had never felt anything like that before. It wasn't pleasant. She quickly looked back down at the floor, but the feeling only subsided a little.
"We know you were on your way to a resistance base." Kylo said as he looked down at everyone from the platform. His voice was distorted by his mask. "Where is it?"
Everyone just stood there in silence.
"I said where is it?!" Kylo yelled this time, leaning over the platform.
"We don't know what you're talking about." A women with her hair in a blue braid spoke up. "We're just travelers."
Kaura was relieved that the lady seemed pretty convincing.
