Kylo-Ren and Kaura both stood there as the whirring of Kaura's lightsaber became the only noise in a silent room.

"Now how did someone like you, get a lightsaber like that?" Kylo asked her calmly. Kaura could tell he was still shocked and angry, even if he wasn't showing it.

"I made it." Kaura answered simply.

She was avoiding a fight because she had owned her lightsaber for less than 24 hours and didn't know how to use it. Kaura was simply trying to stall for longer.

"You don't seem like a Jedi to me." Kylo said taking a step closer to Kaura.

She was running out of things to say but she didn't want the resistance base to come up again so she blurted out the first thing she thought to say.

"Well, you don't seem like the leader of the mighty First Order, but here we both are." Kaura said flatly.

She watched anger light up in Kylo's eyes.

"Then let's see how good your little lightsaber actually works." Kylo replied.

He whipped out his own lightsaber from his belt and activated it, revealing a red, three-pronged blade. It almost resembled a pitch fork, but the middle blade was significantly longer than the other two.

Her legs felt weak, but Kaura stood her ground and held her lightsaber high. She often had to defend herself as a young smuggler and a long dagger had always been her weapon of choice, so it's not like she didn't know how to fight.

Here we go, she thought.

Kylo swung his arms back, giving away the fact that he was about to swing his lightsaber at Kaura. Dumb Move, she thought. She managed to block it before it came anywhere near her. He was acting out of pure rage, not strategy. Kaura was going to take advantage of that.

Kylo, even more frustrated, swung at her again and Kaura blocked it. She was planning on staying in the defense because she was just waiting for the resistance to get there.

Kylo-Ren got closer and closer as he continued to swing his lightsaber at her, but she stood there calmly without stepping back and blocked all his blows. If there was one thing Kaura had learned about fighting, it was to never let your opponent back you into a corner.

As Kylo got angrier and swung his lightsaber around more she watched people backing away to avoid being hit. The room was too crowded for Kaura to safely fight Kylo-Ren. Plus, if the resistance came to save everyone then they would have to face Kylo-Ren as well. Kaura needed to get him away from everyone else.

She looked up at the platform and remembered how Kylo had floated off of it. Maybe she could do the same. She had never tried something like that before, though. Don't think, just do she told herself. Imagine yourself floating onto the platform.

Kaura took a deep breath before jumping. She floated through the air and did a flip so she wouldn't have to take her eyes off Kylo. She blocked his swing at her mid-air and slowly but surely landed on the platform feet first. She heard a couple people cheer her on. Kaura was amazed that she could do that. If the circumstances were different, she would have enjoyed that a lot.

Kaura looked down at Kylo-Ren and he did not look amused.

"Come and get me." She said quick before opening the door on the platform and running out into the hallway.

There were no First Order members or storm troopers around, probably because they were preoccupied with the resistance ships. Kaura hoped a rescue was coming soon. She ran down the hall and it wasn't long before she saw Kylo chasing after her.
