Chapter 21

Bang! Bang!!! Bang!!!

A knock came from the front door. I checked my phone and it was only 7:00pm.

"Who is this person, I need some sleep pu-leasee". I grumbled under my husky sleepy voice.

"Juliet! It's me. Open the door". The voice called.

Realization suddenly hit me and I jumped in my bed. I swung the front door open and there he stood.

"The hell are you doing here?" I asked.

"Would you at least let me in first?" He pushed me away from the door and strolled in.

I scoff and slam the door.

"What were you doing? Sleeping?"

"It's night already. I should remind you that it's weekend and I no longer have a job, so why can't I sleep?" I snapped back. My tongue tasted of sleep.

"You forgot about the party...didn't you?"

"What party? I told you I won't be going. What's so hard for you to understand in that?"

"Why?"

"I'm not interested. Are you okay with that?"

"If you won't be going then I'll be staying here". He suddenly took his shoes off and slumped into the cushion covering his face with his face towel. "I should get a sleep while you do the same". His husky voice said.

"The hell is wrong with you? Get up now". I told him but he didn't listen. He faked a loud snore that shook the entire room. I suddenly became frustrated.

"Jake... I was having a peaceful night before you showed up with your sick attitude but I'm begging you right now to please stop being a sucker and get your filthy ass out and stop ruining my night". I begged.

"You know how much I love frustrating you. You look cute in that I'm so gonna kill you look of yours". He laughed.

"Shut up". I snapped.

"Why don't you wanna go? Are you afraid of being seen by someone? I heard Paul called you today. Are you afraid seeing him?".

"You know what? Fuck Paul? If I'll be going, it won't be for him".

He smirks. "So it'll be for me".

"I'd rather sleep in school rather than going for you".

"You know what? I love how you tell me I'm cute. I'd rather sleep in school rather than going for you". He mimicked me.

"I don't have party outfits. So just go alone".

"You don't know me, do you? I'm the master of female fashion. Let me check your closet".

"In your dreams". I laughed hoping he'll never guess my room, but shit I left my door open this time.

"If I'm guessing right, that should be your room". I disappeared and spin into my room before I could even stop him. I ran after him and caught him already opening my closet.

"Jake stop, that's my closet. I'm a girl and I have private stuffs. I demand you respect my privacy". He realized he was being an ass, so he stepped back and sat on the comfy bed like a visitor should do, but he's more like an intruder.

"Why do you want to take me with you?"

"Coz life after high school is shit. Life challenges doesn't get better than this. It's always down the hill from where you are. So hiding indoors coz you don't want to do some certain things coz you're afraid of something happening isn't right. Those things might eventually happen, but so what? It's life and it's gets really unfair at times. You just gotta move on no matter what".

"You know sometime I think of how you can be really dumb and then again you surprise me. That's my closet...you can check for..."

"Don't worry. Leave it to me, you go and wash your hair. I'll do the expected".

I took a bath, washed my hair and did my regular black and blue Emo makeup. I ended up wearing a short sleeveless skin-tight blue dress matching it with a black heels. It followed my curves down to my thighs and my short hair rested on my shoulders.

I turned to the mirror I looked at myself in awe.

"You got mad curves". He said quietly.

"Why do you ever hide your body in those hoodies, big pants and big shirts?"

"I don't feel comfortable in this. Can't I just wear something else".

"Something else like what?"

"Like hum...a blue pant and shirt?"

"I'm looking at you right now and believe me I'm impressed".

"Alright, just promise me you won't l disappear and leave mr all alone when we get to the party".

"I promise". He answered.
