"Who are you? Wait...you're raiding off. What are you saying? How can I help you. Wait don't leave, stay".
The ringing phone woke me up from me dream drawing me back into reality. The sun shone through my window, piercing my eyes. I picked my Jake's name showing boldly on the screen.
"Hello good morning ". My husky voice said.
"Good morning. Please come out, I'm outside your house".
"Okay". Realization suddenly hit me "You're what?!" I jumped out of bed, struggling to get my blanket off my body. "I'm outside your house". He finally made himself clear.
"Why didn't you call before coming? Omg you're so unpredictable. I'm coming". I brushed teeth and dashed to the front door. I opened the door and the picture of what happened last night appeared in my head. My cheek heat up out of embarrassment.
"Hi..hi, why did you come?"
"I mean hum you...ou didn't hum... tell me hum.. you were....coming". I stuttered. Shit Juliet what are you doing? The voice in my tried to compose me, but my body disagreed with this life saving advice.
"Last night!" I blurted out. No no no no no!!!! Juliet!
"Last night?" He asked.
"Nothing, I mean hum, last night was great. I mean I....enjoyed the dinner". I tried to cover my embarrassment, but he wanted to hear more. "Tell me what you wanted to say". He said closing the small gap between us again. I immediately moved away avoid more awkward questions. "Please come in". I moved away from the door step and invited him in.
"David asked me to pick you up. I hope I didn't wake you".
"Yes you did, but why?" The question was in my head.
"I told him a lot of things about you and he wants to know you more. Are you fine with it?"
"Yeah...yeah I'm fine". I wasn't so comfortable about it, but if Anita can be such a wonderful woman, then David should be a great man as well. "I'll just get ready and join you in twenty minutes. Do you want coffee?" I agreed to meet David, but that didn't stop the questions in my head.
"I don't mind". He answered.
"Hello Jake". My mom walked into the living room wearing a very bright smile.
"Morning Ma'am, you look stunning this beautiful morning". He complimented her. Mom and Jake would joke about a lot of things, sometimes I wonder where she hid her happy self until she met Jake. "I have come to pick Juliet again. I hope you don't have a problem with that and you'd let me take her with me". He told my mom.
"It's Sunday, she spent the whole day with you yesterday". She pretended to be really sad about me going until a wide grin appeared on her lips. "You're free to go, but don't stay too late".
"We won't". He assured her.
"I'll just get dressed and join you downstairs when I'm ready". I told them and started walking away. "Jake, you're so much of a gentleman man that you walked Juliet to the front door and helped her remove a leaf from her hair last night". She popped the bubble! "Mom!" I yelled. My mom can be really sarcastic.
"What? Didn't you help her last night?" He cleared his throat. Something he does when he's searching for a good reply. "Hum...yes her hair was beautiful and I didn't want it to get rough so soon".
