When they came back to the motel, Cass said he had to leave to take care of something, that he'll be in touch. Sam and Jackie went to get something to eat in the cafeteria, leaving just Lily and Dean in the motel room.
"I don't know about this, Dean.." Lily said, her hands on her hips as she stood in the middle of the room. "It just seems..off.."

"Off how?" He asked.

"Off like why hasn't Amara made her presence known yet..and why she hasn't tried to kill us.."

"Who knows..if anything she could be waiting for the right time." He said. "Probably when we least expect it."

"And that's what worries me..what if we aren't gonna be ready?" She asked, sitting on the bed across from him. "What if she just snaps her fingers and kills all of us?"

"That probably won't happen. It would be too easy." Dean said.

Lily ran her hands through her hair when she felt a wave of nausea hit her, making her brace the edge of the bed tightly, her head down. It felt like her intestines were doing backflips, almost making her want to vomit, but she held it together, taking a few deep breaths.

"Hey...you alright?" Dean asked, kneeling in front of her, his hand on her arm.

Gathering herself, she gave a small nod. "Yeah..I'm good." She lifted her gaze to his, those words burning in the back of her throat. "Just stressed out I guess."

Dean gave her a reassuring look. "We'll get through it. I promise." Sitting next to her on the bed, he gripped her hand firmly. "We've done this song and dance before, we can do it again."

Lily lightly smiled. "I hope so.."
Scooting closer to him, she wrapped her arm around the middle of his back, kissing him on the lips, his hand sliding up her thigh, touching her lower waist. That butterfly feeling rose up inside her again, just like every other time they share moments like this. It's a way for them to forget about the real world, even if it's for a little bit.
Pulling her closer, she swung her legs over, sitting on his lap, slowly deepening the kiss. Smiling against his lips, she crept her fingers up his chest, resting her palm over his fluttering heart. This is how she knows he's all hers: if she had a beating heart, it would be in time with his. It's like he also has a part of her, guarding it with his life.

His hands were in her hair when she drew away, that look in his eyes that made her insides melt. Grinning devilishly, she stood up, only to have her legs straddle his hips, her hands on the back of his neck.

"We have a little time to ourselves yet." Was all she said before she kissed him again, falling back on the bed.

They knew they didn't have a lot of time before it was going to become a reality. They could feel the pain slowly creeping up their body, like claws digging into their skin. They still had to figure out how to say it, knowing that the others will freak out once they find out. But they didn't want it to be a pressure on their shoulders along with everything else going on.
So they could only pretend everything's alright.
For now.
