PART TWO: LIFE AND DEATH
"You're WHAT?!" Dean exclaimed, panic taking over him.
Sam sighed "I didn't wanna say anything--"
"Didn't wanna say anything?!" Jackie snapped. "What the HELL is wrong with you??"
"I didn't want y'all to worry!" Sam shouted, causing them to go silent. "When we fought that horde..one them bled on me. It was enough of it to get to this point." He saw the looks on all their faces: anger and confusion. "We already had enough on our plates..I didn't want to add to it."
"It doesn't matter, Sam. You tell us something like this like it or not, and we figure out a way to get rid of it!!" Lily said. "You don't fucking hide this!"
"I'm sorry, okay??" He said. "But I have an idea.."
"Oh sure, NOW you have an idea, Sammy.." Dean said, pacing around.
"Just..hear me out.." He said, breathing heavy for a few seconds. "We go back..and I kill whoever's there to clear out the virus...by myself."
"Are you serious? Do you even hear yourself right now??" Jackie said. "There's no way you're going to be able to take out that many by yourself!"
"They won't harm me." Sam said, slumping his shoulders. "They'll harm you because you're not infected."
"No, Sammy." Dean said sternly. "I'm not letting that happen."
"Sometimes you have no choice, Dean."
"Listen to yourself, man!" He snapped. "You're being suicidal! We'll figure out a way to get it out of you!"
"We can't.." Lily realized, her eyes sad. "Once you have it there's no going back..."
"There's always something!" Dean yelled. "I'm not letting him die!"
"Dean..." Sam said, struggling to stand up, but eventually doing so. "You gotta let me go in there..it's the only way to kill whoever's left without them trying to chase me."
Dean's eyes got watery, shaking his head. "No...I can't lose you..."
"I can't lose you either." Jackie said, tears already going down her face. "Like Dean said, we'll figure out another way.."
"And like Lily said, we can't.." Sam said somberly.
Shaking his head once more, Dean suddenly walked out, Lily following suit a few seconds later, leaving just Sam and Jackie.
He looked at her sadly. "Jackie I...I'm sorry...""I can't fucking believe you.." She said softly, standing inches away from him. "Why would you keep this hidden from me?? From your family??"
"I didn't want you to worry.." Sam said. "I know it sounds selfish--"
"SELFISH?!" Jackie yelled, the tears blurring her vision with rage. "That's what you have to say about this?!" She shoved him backwards. "I can't fucking believe you right now! You kept this a secret the entire damn time when we could've helped you! BUT YOU ONLY WORRIED ABOUT YOUR OWN DAMN SELF!!"
Sam's eyes were huge, his own tears falling down his cheek. "I'm really sorry it came to this, Jackie..I just...I wanted you to be happy..despite all the shit that's going on right now in the world." He took a half step closer. "You know I care about you..you know I love you. I just...I couldn't stomach the thought of telling you about this.."
Jackie took a deep, shaky breath. "I can't do this...this is too much."
She walked out of the room, slamming the door behind her, blindly making her way outside to her and Lily's car before practically falling to the ground next to it, her emotions getting the best of her, crying somewhat loudly.
