One

PART ONE: Infection

It's been a couple weeks since Sam, Dean, Jackie and Cass went back in time to save Lily. Since then, things have been a little quiet near them, only two cases popping up in their radar. One was a wendigo case, the other their typical ghost case. They just came back from that one the day before now, all of them sitting around the big map table.

"I gotta admit.." Jackie began. "I don't think I've actually hunted a ghost before.."

"There's always a first for everything." Dean said, taking a drink of his beer.

"Yeah, true." She said.

"Like you and Lily getting together." Sam teased.

"Dude..." Dean said, a little annoyed when the flap of wings were heard. Turning around, Cass stood there, a somewhat serious look on his face.

"Sam, Dean..a word.." He said.
Following him to the hallway of many rooms, Cass spoke a little softer. "Something's happening.."

"Okay, what is it?" Sam asked.

"Thousands of people within the last week have died from a 'mysterious outbreak.' The entire country is going into panic mode." Cass said. "I'm still trying to figure out who or what would do this but..whatever it is, it's very bad."

"What did the victims look like?" Dean asked.

"From what I saw, they had black veins." He said. "That's about all I know."

Sam sighed. "The hits just keep on coming..any idea where this outbreak spread to next?"

"Next state over in Missouri." Cass said.

"Alright, well we'll let you know if we find anything that could be connected. While we do that, why don't you go over there and see if there's more to this." Dean said.

When he vanished, the boys went back over to Jackie and Lily. "We got a situation." Sam said.

"What now?" Jackie asked.

"Apparently there's an infection going around that killed thousands already in a week." Dean said. "Cass is going to Missouri to see if there's more info he can dig up."

"That's where it's at right now." Sam said.

"Did Cass say what the victims looked like?" Lily asked.

Dean folded his arms. "He said from what he saw, their veins were black. That ring any bells in that pretty head of yours?"
Lily shook her head with a light laugh. "No, it doesn't."

"Well, we'll see what we can find while we wait for Cass." Sam said, him and Dean grabbing some books while Jackie and Lily borrowed Sam's laptop. After a bit, however, they didn't really find anything.

"So since we didn't find much..what if we just went to Missouri?" Jackie asked. "We can meet up with Cass there and see if there's something to this that way."

Sam and Dean nodded. "We were actually going to suggest that." Dean said. "We can leave in an hour."

Getting ready, Lily was in Jackie's room, the two of them making sure they had the things they needed.
"You okay?" Jackie asked. "You look a little flustered."

Blinking a couple times, Lily lifted her gaze to her friend. "I'm fine. Just didn't think we would be leaving this soon after the previous hunt."

"Eh, I'm used to it.." Jackie said. "Plus it gives me something to do."
Putting her angel blade in their duffel bag, she zipped it up, lifting it over her shoulder. "Ready?"

Lily nodded. "Let's do this."
As she closed the door behind them, she bit her lip, millions of thoughts running through her mind as she met up with the others.
