The next morning was tough for me. While having breakfast, my mom asked me whether it was my final decision about Riya. I just nodded my head while eating without telling a single word. She went to the next room and called her mother. After the call, she came back and joined us for breakfast.
"Riya's parents were disappointed with your decision Ayaan" -Mom
"You had a good time with her parents. Didn't you Ayaan?"-Dad
"It's not about that" -Ayaan
"Then what was it? Did Riya tell something?" -Mom
"No, she didn't tell anything. It's my decision. And besides there many girls whom you can look for me, so please end this discussion" -Ayaan
"Even Riya didn't tell anything. She was ok with her parent's decision" -Mom
Riya had done the exact thing which I asked her to do the previous night. Then I left for office and on the way, I received a message from Riya.
"Hey, thank you so much for helping me out.
You took all the blame on yourself and me kind of feel selfish about it. Hope you understand. And I'm sorry.
Hey, that's fine. Anyways I wasn't looking forward to getting married. And besides my mom has a big list of girls for me, so, I'm all set.
Haha, I hope you get a better girl.
Fingers crossed. Anyways, I gotta go. Bye

Weeks passed and I was just trying to concentrate on my work. There was a vacancy in the London branch for a Senior Software Engineer. So, I started working towards it so that I get the post. I just made myself busy with the office work so that I forget about Riya, and the other reason was, I didn't want to be in India.
One day, while having dinner, mom and dad gave a piece of shocking news.
"Ayaan, we have something to tell."- Dad
"Yes, dad, what is it?" -Ayaan
"The landlord came in the morning and told that he'd be selling this house" - Dad
"What? Why?" -Ayaan
"We don't know, he told he's selling the property to some guy who's going to build a new house here." - Dad
"So, what do we do now?" -Ayaan
"I and your mom have decided that we will shift to Canada" - Dad
"Ohh, I see" -Ayaan
"Yes, I and your uncle decided that we'll buy a house in Canada so that both families can live together. Even your grandparents will be living with us" - Dad
"Yeah, that sounds good, you guys won't be alone then" -Ayaan
"Alone? What do you mean? You're not coming with us?"-Mom
"No, I can't. I'm trying for the senior engineer post in the London branch of my company. That will be a good vertical move in my career. So, I have to prepare for it" -Ayaan
"We are leaving next week but no problem. The landlord has given 3 months for us to empty the place. Are 3 months enough for you to prepare?" - Dad
"Yes, I'll be done within 2 months." -Ayaan
"Great, I and your mom have to start packing after dinner." - Dad
"Ok dad, call me if you need any help" -Ayaan
"Ok" - Dad
Mom and dad started packing to leave to Canada while I was working hard to impress the BOD's so that they assign me the post in London. While I got busy working day and night, I had forgotten about Riya a bit. Both my parents were finally ready to go to Canada. I booked their flight tickets which were scheduled for tomorrow at 5 AM. The next morning, I dropped my parents at the airport before leaving for the office.
