After returning home, I went straight to my room and slept as I was totally tired. The next morning, after getting freshen up, I came and sat near the dining table for breakfast, just thinking about yesterday. My mom kept calling my name and I didn't even realize it.
"Ayaan, Ayaan, Ayaaaaaan" -Mom
"Sorry, what mom, I was thinking something" -Ayaan
"About Riya, she will meet you on Saturday for dinner. I spoke to her mom, she told that Riya got stuck somewhere while coming to the restaurant, so she couldn't make it." -Mom
"That's ok. I'll meet her on Saturday. Same place" -Ayaan
"Ok fine"-Mom
While working at the office, I was just thinking about the girl I met that day. I don't know why she is stuck in my mind. Her cheerful smile, the way she talks. It made an impact on me and I just couldn't take her out of my mind. I just hope I meet her somewhere again but that wasn't possible. I didn't even take her phone number. Anyways days passed and again I had to go and meet Riya. It was quite difficult for me to forget about her and meet someone else.
On Saturday night I texted Riya whether she will be able to make it or not and she replied,
"
Hey, are you gonna make it this time?
Yeah, sure. Sorry about last time,
I got stuck in some problem.
That's ok. It's the same restaurant. I'll be there at 8.
Is it ok with you?
Yeah, no problem, anyways I'm free on
Saturday night, so no problem.
K then. I'll see you at 8.
Yeah, sure."
I had some extra work at the office as some of my colleagues had taken a leave and I didn't get enough time to have my lunch. So, after winding up everything I left my office and reached the restaurant early so that I can order something and eat before she comes.
After reaching the restaurant, I ordered my regular stuff and texted Riya that I would be a bit late and asked her to come at 9 instead of 8. She saw the message and gave a thumbs up. After ordering, I went to the washroom to wash my hands and after coming out I saw the same girl 'Riyanshi' sitting alone in the table next to the window looking outside. She was wearing a yellow dress which suited her. I went back to my table and pretended as if I didn't see her. But I wanted to talk to her soo badly. Even my hunger disappeared. Then she saw me and waved her hand. I just stood up and went towards her.
With eye contact and a smile on the face, I told,
"Hi, my name's Ayaan" by raising my hand to shake.
"Ohh, so u finally learned my lesson. Well keep it up" -Riyanshi
"Yeah, how are you by the way?" -Ayaan
"I'm fine. You come here usually?" -Riyanshi
"No, I had to meet someone, what about you?" -Ayaan
"Same here, he'll be here in few minutes" -Riyanshi
In my mind- "Ohhh a 'he'"
"Ohk" -Ayaan
"Why don't we chat for a while till my friend comes, and by the way, whom are you waiting for?" -Riyanshi
"Same here, for a friend" -Ayaan
"Ok, so no problem right?" -Riyanshi
"Nope, not at all" -Ayaan
