It was Sunday as usual, but not for me. Normally in Indian families, girls are the ones who get nervous when someone comes to their house to see them. In my case, it was the opposite. I woke up and followed my daily Sunday routine while my mom was running around decorating and preparing for their arrival.

"Mom, I'm going out, I'll be back by 8. You want me to get something from the store before I leave?" -Ayaan

"No, I've sent the Shyam to get the groceries from the store but do me a favor. Before coming, get a clean haircut"

"Ok, I'll". -Ayaan

Every Indian mother has a problem with their son's haircut.

So, I went out and finished my work and got a haircut before coming to the house. I rushed to my room and got dressed up before they came. Then I heard the doorbell ring.

'Ting-Tong'

Shyam went and opened the door. And my parents welcomed them with a big smile, especially my mom. Then they sat in the living room, talking, while I was getting nervous. Then suddenly my dad gave me a call. It was so weird that I had to come out like the way girls come out when their parents call them. I came out after dad called. I shook my hand with my uncle and greeted the aunt who was going to be in-laws. Well, that wasn't sure yet.

After a while, dad decided to have dinner and we all sat on the dining table. While having dinner, the uncle asked some questions about my profession like, 'What I do?', 'Where I work?'. It was a pretty interesting conversation as even he had worked in the IT industry back in time. We had a lot in common and it was surprising for me. We had a great time talking and we didn't realize that it was already 11 PM. They called their driver but he had already left due to some emergency. So, I went and dropped them to their house. They were really happy after meeting me and even I felt good after meeting them. I came back home and mom & dad were still awake. They told me that her parents have agreed to this relationship and so do my parents and it's left on us, i.e, me and the girl to decide whether we should take the next step.

"Wait a minute, I don't even know her name. What's her name by the way" -Ayaan

"RIYA"-Mom

"Ohh ok" -Ayaan

"Someone's blushing" -Dad

"Ahh, here we go again" -Ayaan
