After returning to London, I directly went to the office instead of my apartment, to get my laptop. I wanted to have a check on our progress and have a revision before starting it again. After returning to the apartment, I received a missed call from Kabir and I called him back.
"Hey, Kabir, what's up?" -Ayaan
"Hey Ayaan, I couldn't pick the call at that moment, sorry" -Kabir
"Chill, it's fine. I called you to ask, when are you going to come to London to start your project" -Ayaan
"About that, actually I have a surprise for you, I don't know how you're going to react to it?" -Kabir
"You're already in London?" -Ayaan
"No, actually, the London project is handed over to someone else" -Kabir
"Why?" -Ayaan
"Because they needed full-time employee, till the contract ends" -Kabir
"Yeah so?" -Ayaan
"Yeah, and I have to take off in between because..."-Kabir
"Because what?" -Ayaan
"Because I'm getting married after 2 months and the project duration is 6 months. I can't take leave in the middle of contract duration." -Kabir
"What, are you kidding me? When did this all happen?" -Ayaan
"Last week, my mom's family friends had come to our house and they liked me because you know, I look good and all" -Kabir
"Yeah yeah, whatever, when's the wedding?" -Ayaan
"The date isn't decided yet" -Kabir
"Hmm, congratulations bro" -Ayaan
"Thanks, and there's one more thing" -Kabir
"What?" -Ayaan
"Instead of the London contract, I got the New Jersey contract" -Kabir
"That's great. I'm working on a project for a company which is in New Jersey too" -Ayaan
"Ohh nice" -Kabir
"Anyways, text me your wedding date as soon as you get the dates. I don't have any Indian ethnic clothes. I should go shopping" -Ayaan
"You sounded just like a girl when you said you should go for shopping" -Kabir
"I can't wear formals for an Indian wedding, especially at my best friend's wedding. So, I should look good in your wedding" -Ayaan
"Yeah yeah, I'll text you the wedding dates once I get to know" -Kabir
"Yeah sure, anyways I got to go, I'll text you later, Bye" -Ayaan
"Yeah sure, bye" -Kabir
The next day, everyone came back from their vacations to the office, having their vacation stories with them. We all had a chit-chat about our vacations during the coffee break. Everyone at the office was in a good mood after they got a break to spend some quality time with their family until we received a notice from the General Manager.
"Attention everyone, I received a mail from the company for which we're working. Their marketing operations are increasing day by day and they expect us to develop software as soon as possible. So, the allotted time for creating the software was 5 months has been now changed to 2 months. So, it's better to gear up and work fast. Ayaan, how much is it completed?" -Manager
"Sir, we have analyzed the requirements of the company and we have to start implementing and designing the software" -Ayaan
"Ok, make sure the work gets completed. I need a demo in 1 month" -Manager
