Chapter 4

I woke up laying in a hospital bed I was so confused on what was going on I felt very tired and weak. one of the nurses were across the room and they heard me moving around. As the nurse walked over I asked "why am I here"? she looked at me like she had no idea what I said then she said " you are here because you passed out and you hit your head on a big rock and got a small concussion. At first I had no idea what to say. I started crying and I asked a lot of questions sounding nervous she couldn't answer all of them but she told me that I can't remember anything that has recently happened. soon she started telling me stuff I didn't want to know. I honestly wanted to be left alone for a while and not do anything besides stare at blank walls. "where is my mom"? I asked "she's out in the waiting room waiting to see if you would wake up any time soon "Of course I want to see her" i said so the nurse rushed to get her. she came in and was so excited to see me she gave me a huge hug and said "oh my goodness your okay I thought it was really serious sweetie I love you soooo much". I said "I'm okay mom thank you" all of this on the first day of school definitely not what anyone would expect. I was blown away. The nurse looked around and said "oh I have to go check on a boy next store that I have to go take care of I'll be right back" the nurse said. "how long will I be here for mom"? I said "for the next two days my mom said. I suddenly remembered about Josh I started thinking is he okay? I wanted to know what happened to him but I never knew. the nurse finally came back she looked wiped. "I'm so sorry I had to take care of this kid named Josh in the room next store he got a really bad burn"from the fire at Conval High School the nurse said. My eyes Widened. "Um nurse is that Josh Hannu"? I said. she said "yes it is why"? "OH MY WORD THATS MY BOYFRIEND! I said. "WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM? IS HE OKAY? I NEED TO KNOW NOW" the nurse looked at me like I was insane "ok Kiley calm down he's fine he got a bad burn from the fire at Conval High School". " Yes I know about the damn fire what else had happened, how did he get the burn"? I asked. " I don't know how he got the burn" she said. "well can I go see him"? I said. she said "NOOOO you need to stay here missy your not going anywhere with that small concussion of yours". "exactly it's a small concussion I said to her I can fuction. "Nope that's my job to keep you safe so No" she said. I gave her a death glare. "Kileys mom can you come in the lobby for just one second I have to ask you a few questions"? "we will be right back Kiley" the nurse said. I answered with a mad whatever and I rolled my eyes. I did not like that nurse. I glaced over at the other room where Josh was and there was a clear class window that you can see threw. I slowly got up from my bed quietly, trying not to make any slight of noise. I was wearing this ugly night gown that they must of put me in I walked over to the see threw window to see if I could see Josh better I apperatly walked fine. I saw him a little bit he was laying on his bed watching tv with his phone. I decided I wanted to go see him because there was a door. that lead to that room I walked in without anyone seeing me. As I walked in he was lying on the bed and he looked terrible he had awful looking burns all over his face and neck. He was passed out but I walked over to him a gave him a kiss on the cheek. All I could do was stare at him. I couldn't help looking at the burns I felt so terrible I didn't even know how to react. I couldn't believe I didn't remember anything that happened but all I remember is that the first day of freshmen year was all over.
