My head pounds as I open my eyes, stress isn't good at all for me.
I take a look to my balcony, the sun glimmer's streaks that illuminate's my soft silk sheets. By the sounds outside are enjoyable, it must be lunch time.
I close my eyes and get up too fast and my head hurts much more.
I decide the take a farely warm bath.
"Sigyn." The name rolls of the tongue perfectly for me.
I don't know how to describe her, I could say beautiful but she is more than that. Not perfect, nothing is perfect. Uniquely wonderous, I suppose.
I splash my water in frustration.
A young beautiful Valkyrie. Soon to be.
When I finish my bath I head for the courtyard for some fresh air.
"Good morning, Loki." Fandral marches towards me elegantly. "Care for a little fighting practise?" He draws his sword and chuckles.
"Oh, Fandral. I'm more of a magical warrior with spells and illusions. You are not a worthy opponent for I would tire you to your breaking point." I turn away laughing then he has his sword poking my throat.
"Just this one time, friend. I'll take it easy on you." He winks.
I use magic to cast a sword in my hand.
He chuckles and we start dueling.
Some folk in the courtyard take notice and watch.
"If you don't mind, I say you are not very graceful!" We laugh together, not losing our breath. Then the one moment I look to the crowd, I see her.
My body reacts awkwardly and next thing I know I'm pinned to the ground with a proud Fandral hovering over me.
"What did you say about not being a worthy apponent?" Fandral helps me up.
I find myself staring at Sigyn and we make eye contact. She blushes, the lafy beside her notices and whispers something in her ear to make them giggle. I smirk towards her then she smiles shyly and walks away.
"Who was that?" Fandral asks.
"No one." I say, he just shrugs and walks away.
I walk around the court yard, eager to see her. To speak to her this time, not to only exchange a glance.
Where has she gone?
I quickly give up to find her and go to the gardens where I can be in absolute peace.
I take a seat on a bench beside the many different coloured orchids. Breathe in the gentle scent and I hear two people laughing from behind a hedge. I walk over to the sounds queitly and listen to whom it may be.
"He gave you the look! Don't deny it, Sigyn." The girl says in a loud whisper.
"But why would a prince fancy me? I'm not royal in any way."
"Sylia seen him giving you looks last night at his party!"
"Everyone was looking at me, I fell on my face!"
"He couldn't take his eyes off you. Even today, did you see how red his face was?"
Sigyn remains silent but I think she may be whispering something very queit so I lean in more and more and a little more. Too much!
I fall throw the hedge right in between the two woman.
"Who art thou?! Were you spying on us?!" I look up to the woman who isn't Sigyn. She has silky strawberry blonde hair, round hazel eyes and millions of freckles. She doesn't quite recognize me.
"Answer her!" Sigyn yells and takes a closer look at me. Her grey eyes fill with shock and the other woman seems to realize now.
They both trade eachother looks and help me on my feet.
"I am very sorry for my-our foul language to you, Prince Loki." Freckles says out of breath.
"Tis not a problem. What are your names'?"
"I'm Deveah and this is Sigyn." I bow my head at Deveah and the same for Sigyn but I cannot look her in the eye. My face must be as red as a rose.
Deveah bows back and swiftly walks away. Leaving Sigyn and I alone.
I have no choice but to look at her. I wouldn't want a beautiful creature like her to feel rejected.
She stares at me with her glossy grey eyes. Her long wavy brown hair is pulled back in a braid. I find myself staring at her lips, her small plump lips.
"Pardon me, Prince Loki. Is there something you wish to say." Her once small voice changed into a very serious one. I feel rather intimidated.
I open my mouth but I'm stripped of words.
She smiles at me, bows and walks away.
I watch her until I can no longer see her. Seems like my whole life has gone when she disappears and out of sight.
