A/N: You can say it's OOC, but let's be real: the Bookworm has as many brain cells as he has henchpeople, even if he's a genius.

It was a slow day at the warehouse.

Not much had been done and Mr. Scarlet was out running some errands, according to Typesetter. He'd been gone since early morning so it was almost time for him to come back.

Y/N could've clocked out a while ago but she decided to stay since she didn't have anything to do back home. Sure, it was boring just staying in the warehouse but it sure beat hanging out alone.

"I don't get it", Y/N said as she ran a finger across a book shelf, inspecting it for dust. "If Mr. Scarlet had to run some errands, why wasn't I sent? Isn't that supposed to be my job?" She looked back at her fellow bookworms.

"That may be true, Miss L/N, but there are some things that the boss might not think you're ready for yet", Pressman explained. "For example, we've a heist tonight at the Iceberg Lounge. All the big players are going to be there-"

Devil's Printer had whacked Pressman with a book and shot him a dirty look. "She wasn't supposed to know that, Pressman!" He set the book down and shook his head at his friend's slip of the tongue.

Y/N narrowed her eyes. "What is it that I wasn't supposed to know, guys?" She looked at them expectantly and rolled her eyes when they all kept their mouths quiet. "C'mon, guys...just tell me. What's this about a heist?"

Devil's Printer was the only one to speak up. "I'm sorry Miss Y/N, but that information has been kept strictly between the boss and us three." He crossed his arms across his chest as if proving the end of discussion.

Obviously, Y/N wasn't having it but she wouldn't let him know that. "Is that so?" Y/N's looked at him with an almost amused look on her face. She put her hands up in fake defeat. "Alright. I'll drop the topic, boys."

Just in time, all four of them heard the Bookmobile pulling into warehouse's main floor. They all rushed down to meet the boss, but Y/N was in the lead.

Mr. Scarlet heard his bookworms coming down to meet him. Surely, they'd be as excited for the big heist as he was. Just as he finished setting the bag of heist supplies down in the back of the Bookmobile, he heard Y/N greeting him. The remaining henchmen's greetings followed after.

"Y/N!" Mr. Scarlet turned around quickly, shielding the bag. He chuckled awkwardly. "What are you doing here? You could've clocked out hours ago." He pressed his back against the car in an effort to cover up the bag but it was hilariously obvious he was hiding something.

"I know", Y/N shrugged. "But it was a slow day and I didn't really have anything to do back home either so I just decided to hang out here with the guys." She looked back at the guys with a smile before facing Mr. Scarlet again. Y/N knew he was caught off guard and she was going to take advantage of that. "Plus, I want to know about the heist."

"Heist? What heist? I'm not sure what you're talking about." Mr. Scarlet looked past Y/N and stared at the three of his henchmen. "How did you know?"

Y/N's mom didn't raise a snitch, that's for sure. She faked a sheepish grin and lied through her teeth. "I stumbled upon some notes in the Bookmobile when you sent me out on an errand. I didn't catch all the details so I figured what better way than to ask you, right?"

Scarlet cursed under his breath. He readjusted his thick glasses before focusing on her. "It looks like the cat is out of the bag, Y/N. I've been planning a heist for a while now and we were supposed to go through with it tonight. I'm not sure if you knowing this hinders our plans though." He raised a dark brow, expecting anything from her.
