(okay, special thanks to BackseatSarahnade for letting me have her be Justin's girlfriend in this. Link to her story is in the external link, Let Love Bleed Red, she also has an awesome story for All Time Low, The Reckless And The Brave, so you should check those stories out and follow her cause she's awesome! So this chapter will be divided into two parts, Jack's POV then someone other then Bentley's POV!)
Chapter Four-
-_-Jack's POV-_-
We all chuckled as we watched Bentley fall deeper and deeper into sleep, mumbling to herself. After a little bit of time, we all turned away from each other and focused on our individual conversations. Me, Gabe, Nick, and Justin were talking.
"So, Bentley seems nice." Gabe said with a smirk, nudging me. I rolled my eyes at him, but smiled. Justin and Nick nodded smirking along with Gabe.
"Ok, seriously?" I asked them, shaking my head with a laugh. "I'm not into Bentley." Lie, my head told me, but I ignored that. Gabe, Justin, and Nick looked at me as if they knew I was lying to them. "She's a nice person, that's all." I told them, shrugging my shoulders. They all shook their heads at me, now I knew they knew I was lying.
"Mhm, sure.." Gabe said sarcastically, shaking his head. Seriously, I just met the girl, how am I suppose to know if I have feelings for this girl. I mean, sure, she was drop dead gorgeous, she knew a lot about cars, which was cute, she had a "takes no shit" attitude, she was extremely strong, hell, she pushed the bus almost the whole way here, and was, well, really smart. Which was out of my league, that was for sure. But, she was just so hot.. Maybe I could at least ask her out? But then again, she lives out here in Southern California, while I live out in Orlando, how would that even work? I mean, Justin and his girlfriend, Sarah, had problems with their living since they lived far away, so much that his girlfriend moved in with him. So, even if we did get together, living far away from each other was a big big problem.
I shook my head as I realized how much my thoughts were getting to me, as I heard Kellin call out my name. "Jack?!" Kellin yelled grabbing my attention. I looked at him, raising an eyebrow. "Dude, I've been trying to get your attention for a little while, anyways. We're gonna go and sleep in the bus since we can still stay in there tonight." Kellin explained to me.
I nodded my head, "Sweet." I told him, before he shook his head, returning to his conversation with Vic. I turned to look at Gabe, Justin, and Nick, but Justin and Nick had gone over and began talking with the others, while Gabe just looked at me, with a big goofy grin on his face.
"So, you were saying something about how awesome Bentley was in your head?" Gabe told me, with a big grin. I felt my eyes widen. Shit, had I said that out loud?! "Don't worry, I won't say anything to her. But by the time our bus is fixed, you better have asked her out." Gabe said, pointing over to where Bentley was. She was still curled up on the couch her nose buried in the pillow. I almost laughed at how cute she looked. Her beanie had fallen off, leaving her hair out, her once perfect hazel eyes were shut, blocking them from view, and she was practically curled up in a ball.
"Aw! Little Jackie's staring!" Gabe whispered, snapping me once again out of my daze. I shook my head, hitting him on the back of his head. Gabe stuck his tongue out at me, which in turn made me roll my eyes at him.
"Oh please." I said, shaking my head. Gabe only grinned before launching into a talk about something, while my mind shifted from listening to him, and thinking about how this would go over with Bentley.
-_-Vic's POV-_-
I shook my head, with a silent laugh as I watched Jack's eyes drift from Gabe to Bentley. He definitely had feelings for her, there was no doubt about it. But with Bentley? That was a bit harder to tell. Ever since Bentley found out about how her mom died because of problems with her birth, she's been pretty good at keeping her feelings hidden. Sometimes on rare occasion, she'd talk to me, Mike, Jaime, or Tony about them, but never her dad. She never did that because she didn't want to upset him with the topic of the women he loved.
It didn't help that her dad was always trying to get to date someone. Bentley has always seemed like one of those kinds of people who would die alone happily. I of course, thought it had something to do with her mom, but I wasn't sure. I had tried to get her to talk about it, but she never did, it was something she would always brush off.
Which lead me to the next problem, I knew Jack had feelings for the brunette, but I had no idea how that would go over. Eventually, he'd ask her out, I was sure. But I had no idea if she would say yes to him, even if somehow she did like him. I needed to talk to Jack about this.
"Hey, uh Jack, I need to get something, come with me?" I said, standing up from my conversation with Kel, who gave me a weird look, as if asking what I was doing. Jack stood up to from where he had been sitting with Gabe, and followed me into the kitchen.
Once we were in there, I leaned against the sink. "I know you have feelings for Bentley," I began, but was quickly caught off by him groaning. I gave him a weird look.
"Why does everyone think that? I just met her!" Jack groaned, sitting in the chair that was at the table. I laughed, of course everyone knew! He made it hard not to notice.
"Because, it's obvious. But I'm not gonna give you that whole "Scolding brother figure" talk because your my friend and I sort of trust you with her. I'm just hear to give you a warning." He raised his eyebrows at what I said. "Bentley is very.. Well, to say is simply, not into dating." I told him.
Jack looked confused. "Wait, what does that mean?" He asked, looking completely confused yet interested in what I had said. I almost laughed again, but I kept it in.
"Bentley's always turned down dates, every time we've ever seen a guy ask her out, she's said no. But, I think that has something to do with her mom." I told him, explaining my thoughts to him. Jack sighed.
"So, she's not into dating?" He asked, looking helpless. I frowned, this is not going where I wanted it to.
"All I'm saying Jack, is that Bentley's gonna need a little time to get to know you before you ask her out, that's it. I'm not saying it's impossible." I explained, smiling at the relieved sigh he let out.
"Thank god.. But.. I'm just supposed to stay friends with her? For how long?" Jack asked, raising his eyebrows. I thought about it for a moment.
"Maybe, a couple days at least. When she seems comfortable with you, then ask her." I told him, smiling. He let out another sigh.
"Alright.. Thanks Vic." He said, before standing up from the chair. I nodded, I was doing this for him, but also for one of my other close friends.
"No problem Jack. Just treat her good." I told him, laughing at the semi scared look on his face, before he walked out of the kitchen, scratching the back of his head.
(well, it was interesting to write this in someone besides Jack and Bentley's Point of view.. And just before this story goes any further, I am well aware that Justin and Jack are dating other people, this is for fanfic purposes only. I have no hatred for their current girlfriends, which is why I never do the boyfriends "evil girlfriends" cause it irks me when people do that. Anyways, bye!)
