Chapter Five-
-_-Bentley's POV-_-
I groaned, as I stretched my arms out the next morning. God, did I really fall asleep on Vic and Mike's couch. I sighed, cuddling back into the pillow, my eyes remaining closed, until I heard Mike's voice. "Get your lazy ass up and off the couch women, you have some bus work to do!" I heard Mike's voice say, making me chuckle through my sleep deprived state.
I groaned sitting up and turning to face the voice, my eyes meeting Mike's. "I don't wanna get up though," I said, running my fingers through my hair, expecting to be stopped by my beanie. "Shit! Michael Christopher Fuentes, where the fuck is my beanie?!" I said, sitting up straight, my eyes scanning for my beanie. Little known fact about me, I obsessed over my beanie, which meant when I lost it, which was rare, I was beyond ticked. Normally, I took it off when I go to bed, but last night I was to tired to care. Mike was watching me, while repressing a laugh.
"Uh, I think I saw Jack had it last night," Mike said, as I sat up straight, beginning to go and get up so I could go get my beanie, until I realized I had no idea where he was. "They slept in their bunks in their bus." Mike said without asking what I was doing. I nodded, quickly thanking him, before running out of their house and to the auto part store, where the bus was.
I knocked on the door loudly when I got their, expecting them to be passed out and asleep. It took a few moments, but finally, someone answered it. Out stepped an extremely tired looking Kellin.
"What the hell, Bent-?" I didn't stay there to listen to him talk, I just walked past him into where I guessed the bunks were. Thankfully, I was right. I walked past the bunks till, I stopped seeing Jack in his bunk, the curtain open. I leaned down, so I was eye level with the sleeping guy, before poking him in the closed eye. He groaned, rolling over to his other side.
I groaned this time, hearing him chuckle and a couple other voices, which I ignored. "Jack! Get up!" I whisper shouted, making him groan once again.
"Eh.. To early.." He muttered, sleep filling his voice. I almost laughed, till I remembered I didn't have my beanie with me.
"Jack, give me my beanie." I said, trying to speak as calmly as I could, but that was pretty hard to do considering he had my beanie.
"It's over there.." He groaned pointing in a random direction. I rolled my eyes, muttering 'seriously?'. I heard Kellin once again chuckle, before he cleared his throat, grabbing my attention.
I turned around to face, raising my eyebrows at him, but my eyes widened as I saw my beanie in his hands. "Thank you, thank you!" I said, taking it from his hands and then hugging him. He looked surprised by the hug, but he hugged back anyways.
"Um, welcome?" He said, hugging me. I pulled away happily, pulling my beanie on. Kellin laughed before speaking again, "Do you need us to leave to fix the bus?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
I thought about it for a minute, before shaking my head. "You don't have to, but to warn ya, it'll be a little loud." Kellin nodded, saying something about how he'd wake up the guys and they'd all go out while I worked. I nodded to him, before getting out of the bus, heading into my office so I could at least change. I was going to take a shower, but figured it was useless seeing as I had to get grease all over me from the bus. I pulled out a black top with shorts, knowing this would be another messed up set of cloths(external link). Almost all my cloths were, since that was I mostly did.
After getting dressed, I walked out of my office, and almost ran into someone, that someone being Jack. "Oh, sorry." I said, chuckling slightly as he went to apologize at the same time as me.
We bother laughed, standing there until the rest of the guys and Tony, Mike, Vic, and Jaime came over to us. "Hey, Bentley. We're all gonna go out while your working." Vic said, as he and the guys began to leave, except Jack. I gave him a weird look.
"What about you?" I asked, walking over to the bus, my supplies in hand. I pulled up the hood, beginning to get to work. Jack didn't respond for a few seconds, I had assumed he left with them, so I jumped when I heard his voice.
"Decided to stay and watch." Jack told me, as I heard a chair being pulled up as well. I nodded, trying to get myself together and starting to work on the bus. For the first thirty minutes while I worked on figuring out the problem with the car, my mind was else where. After having worked on so many cars, this became second nature, so my mind was able to drift as I worked. I thought about why Jack was still here, if he was just remaining silent, and why he didn't go out with the others. I put off to him not feeling like going out. I didn't concentrate on that long, not wanting my head to go places it shouldn't.
Next, I thought about my dad. Where had he gone this time? I knew he had work other places, and that he left for work often, though it was kind of weird since he was a mechanic, but I always shrugged it off. After a little bit, I thought about my old Bentley. Sure, she was a bit screwed up, but the main thing she needed now was a paint job and some new parts. By the time I had mentally marked off all the things Azure needed, I had found the problem, it was still the engine, but then this bus seemed kind of old and needed some replacement parts.
I turned around to face Jack, wiping my hands on a nearby towel. "Well, I found the problem." I told him, making his eyes look up from his phone and to me. "It is still mainly a problem with the gas break, but then again this car seems kinda old and some pieces need to be replaced. It'll take about a day or two for the parts I need to come in. Don't have somewhere to be, do you?" But then again, they were musicians, they probably did. But Jack shook his head.
"Nah, we were just on our way home from a tour." He said, shrugging. I nodded, kind of glad because it may take a bit more time then two days.
"Good, cause it may take a bit more time then two days." I told him, walking into the the office so I could make a list of all the parts the bus would need. Jack followed me, leaning against the doorframe of the office. "Ok.." I mumbled, beginning to write down the parts, and making sure we could order the parts and get them within the week. "All the parts should be in within the next week or so." I told him, walking over to him. He nodded.
"Cool.." He said, kind of shyly. I raised an eyebrow, looking at him. "Since the guys are gonna be gone for a while, and I don't really know California, go into town with me?" He asked, smiling. This caught me. But, it was just a friendly going out right? Yeah, it was only that.
"Um, sure, just let me get changed, though." I told him, turning around to get a new change of cloths, but Jack stopped me by grabbing my wrist and spinning me around.
"You don't need to.." Jack said, a smile on his face. I blushed, why would he say that..? I shook it off as quickly as I could, including the look he was giving me. I nodded my head, slowly pulling my wrist away from Jack.
"Okay.. Let's uh get going." I said, grabbing Azure's keys from my desk, and walking past Jack to my Bentley, trying to shake off the look that Jack had given me. It was a look of longing, hidden by the intentions of being kind. I didn't want to admit it, but that look just made me wonder what I felt for Jack, was it more then friendship?
I had to shake off the thoughts as Jack got into the front seat of the car. I pulled out of the shop, before heading the way into town. I turned up the radio, only to have Jack take control from me. I looked at him for a second, raising an eyebrow. Jack just stuck his tongue out at me, before turning back to the road, shaking my head. "Crazy man.." I muttered to him, not turning to look at him, though I knew he was still doing something childish.
(So sweet..)
