Lily was standing cooking in the kitchen when she heard the sound of voices. She opened the door slightly and heard Sirius threatening to kick somebody out. She stormed out of the kitchen to yell at Sirius about being rude when she noticed the tall, handsome stranger behind the bar.
"This a friend of yours Siri?"
'Names Lupin, we jus' met. This fine gentleman over 'ere was just showing me your top shelf collection, it's quite something.'
He walked around the bar and shook Lily's hand.
Sirius looked at Lily with an expression she couldn't quite read.
"Yeah Mr Lupin was just admiring our finest whiskey then he was going to be on his way."
'Actually I'd like to ask y'all if you knew of any place I could stay. I'm not from these parts you see but I'm thinking I might like it here.'
Sirius glared at Lupin but before he could answer with a resounding no Lily answered first.
"Sirius has an extra room right upstairs. I'm sure he could put you up for a few nights."
'That'd be mighty fine of you kind sir.'
Sirius was too stunned to move so Lily nudged him with her elbow.
"Uh yeah, follow me I guess."

The Grimm was packed with everybody gossiping about what had happened earlier. Lily heard bits and pieces here and there about how some gang had tried to burn down the Black Plantation. She wondered if that was why Sirius had been acting so weird earlier, he must be worried about his brother. She decided she would lock up tonight so he could go see Reg and stop worrying.
"Hey Red, got any of that fine soup left for the sheriff?"
Lily rolled her eyes but went into the kitchen to dish up a bowl. When she turned around the sheriff had just come through the door.
'James you know you're not supposed to be back here. And take that hat off inside my kitchen!'
James looked sheepishly at her under the brim of his hat before removing it. He sat down at the counter where she had left his soup and she sat down across from him.
'So tell me about the Black Plantation?'
"Unfortunately for the moment there's nothing to tell. We know who did it but we have no idea where they went or what they wanted. Deputy Pettigrew is out checking all the barns but so far we ain't found a thing."
