Howdy

What happened?

Sirius woke up with a splitting headache and no memory of climbing into bed. He looked down at himself and saw that his pants were unbuttoned but still on and his shirt was open. He tried to remember what happened last night but he couldn't remember anything passed seeing Lu-Remus stargazing.

"Miss McKinnon how many men would you say ran into the laundry two nights ago?"
'There was two men what did run right through the sheets I had just cleaned! Didn't even turn around when I threw the iron at 'em.'
Marlene was waving her arms around while pointing at the tears in the aforementioned sheet.
Peter sighed. He had been questioning people all day and there were still two men unaccounted for. James was not going to be happy when he reported back to him.

Sirius made his way slowly down the stairs hoping a few cups of coffee would clear his head. As he got to the bottom of the stairs he heard laughter coming from the kitchen. He slowly peaked around the door and saw Lily and Remus doing dishes and chatting.
"Good morning handsome! Have a good night?"
'Lily please, inside voices.'
Lily laughed softly and walked over to the coffee pot. Sirius felt eyes moving down his body, he felt flattered but also very exposed. He glared at Remus who only winked back.
Lily handed him a large mug of coffee.
"How's Reg doing? Did he see anything?"
'He says he's fine but he did seem a bit more shook up than usual. No sorry Lily, he said he wasn't home at the time.'
"James is gonna lose it. They found out there might be a few gang members still in town but nobody's talking."
Remus dropped the bowl he was rinsing snapping Lily and Sirius out of their conversation.
'I do declare! I'm not usually so fool hardy. W-what gang would this be?'
"The Sin Eaters of course, they pretty much run all the surrounding towns. I'm surprised you haven't heard of them Lupin."
