"Miss McKinnon saw two men run through the laundry, she's got the ripped sheets to prove it."
Peter held up the torn sheet for James to see.
'While Mrs Longbottom remembers seeing only one man run through the school. Her husband Frank confirms it.'
James ran his hands through his messy, chocolate coloured locks.
"So that leaves us with one man unaccounted for?"
'If there really was four men. Who did you say this witness was again?'
Peter shifted nervously from foot to foot in front of James's desk.
"Um... he wished to remain anonymous."
James eyed Peter suspiciously.
'Where did you find him then?'
"He... uh... approached me at the Black Plantation."
Remus was bussing tables after the lunch rush. There had been less people than according to Lily but they still managed to make a large mess.
Sirius and Lily were cleaning plates and glasses in the kitchen.
"So you decided to hire Lupin then?"
Lily cocked an eyebrow at Sirius.
'Well he's staying here anyway and you'll be off work pretty soon so why not?'
"Sirius, in the 10 years you've been running this place you've hired a grand total of one other person. And you put me on probation for 6 months!"
Sirius was intensely washing the perfectly clean glasses for the second time.
'I have no idea what you're implying.'
Regulus walked into the Grimm and was surprised to see Sirius wasn't behind the bar. He called out to the room at large.
"Siri?"
A figure got up from behind the bar with a crate of drinks in their hands.
'Gus!?'
"John!?"
Sirius walked in from the kitchen.
'Hey Reg, what brings you down here?'
Regulus and Remus were staring at each other in shock.
'Reg?'
Lupin put down the crate and mumbled something about fetching glasses as he walked into the kitchen.
Regulus snapped out of his shock and addressed his brother.
"Hey Siri, I wanted to invite you and the Potters over for dinner. Uh is John working here?"
'Yes while he's staying in town. Isn't his name Remus? How do you know him?'
"Oh, in that case you should bring him along to dinner. We met when I was away at school."
