"There's no evidence at the plantation, nobody left so much as a rusted spur."
'There has to be something Deputy! We cannot allow this gang to do whatever they want, whenever they want!'
James slammed his hands on his desk in frustration knocking over his photo of Lily, heavily pregnant.
"I know you're thinking of your unborn child James but you've got to calm down."
'I know Peter, I'm sorry for hollerin'.'
Peter took off his hat and sat behind his desk.
"There was maybe somethin'... It's not much to go on but it may be somethin'?"
James waved his hand.
'Go on.'
"A witness says they saw the gang break off into three groups. The two larger groups went east and west while a smaller group of four men headed in the direction of the Grimm."
'That's no good Peter. I ran into the Grimm as soon as we lost sight of the gang and there was nobody there 'cept Sirius.'
"So where did they go then?"

Sirius stumbled into the Grimm just before midnight, tired but glad that Reg was all right. They had had a little too much to drink and started reminiscing about their childhood on the plantation.
"You all righ' there tall, dark and blue blottered?"
Sirius jumped, just then noticing Lupin sitting at James usual corner table.
'What are you still doing up?'
"The best time for star gazing is usually nigh' time."
'More like helping yourself to more free drinks.'
"You locked all the good barb wire away remember? I did help myself to some tea though, wan' some?"
Sirius considered this for a moment before nodding and sitting across from Lupin.
'This is a fine brew Lupin. So star gazing huh?'
"Remus."
'Pardon me?'
"My name is Remus. And yeah the stars remind me of home."
Remus looked out the window wistfully. Sirius eyed his profile, taking in his strong jaw and his hair that curled slightly at the nape of his neck.
'Home, yeah.'
