Chapter 5

(Ferryn's P.O.V.)

What feels like hours go by before we finally make it to Wakanda. Cap starts talking to Sam who is flying and we all go to the front of the plane to watch through the windows. We all of a sudden pass through a shield of sorts and reveal a spectacular view of Wakanda. I'm literally speechless. Like it's so amazing. After we land I click my bracelets together making my suit materialize leaving me in my regular clothes. We all walk out to see T'challa and his warriors waiting for us.

"Do we bow?" Dr B. asks as he pulls back on his jacket.

"Uh yeah he's the king." Rhodey says like it's obvious. I know we aren't supposed to bow but I let Rhodey have his fun.

"Looks like I'm always thanking you for something." Steve says as he gets to T'challa. Dr. B bows and I snicker.

"We don't do that here." T'challa says to Dr. B and Rhodey smirks at him.

"So how big of an assault should we be expecting?" T'challa asks as he leads us inside one of the buildings. 

"Sir, you should expect quite a big assault." Dr. B interjects

"How we looking?"Nat asks

"You will have my Kingsguard, the Border Tribe and Dora Milaje and-" T'challa stops to point at the winter soldier as he walks up. I tense up and take a big breath. I had only ever known this guy as a threat but I know he's on our side so I'm gonna have to get over it.

"And a semi-stable 100 year old man." he says as he walks over to Steve to hug him..

"How have you been, Buck?" Steve asks, patting him on the shoulder.

"Uh, not bad, for the end of the world." he smiles jokingly. "Who is this?" he asks looking back at me.  Cap looks back at me with an awkward smile and goes to answer but I cut him off.

"I'm Ferryn." I say reaching my hand out to shake. " Ferryn Stark." I say proudly. I know my Dad doesn't always have the best information especially with the winter soldier situation but I'm still proud of my last name even if it gives me a bad rap with him.

"Stark? So, kid or wife?" he smirks. I know my dad had a time in his life where he was a pretty bad guy but he's better now.  I almost growl but Steve stops me before I can say anything.

"She's his kid. Look, we are all on the same team now."  Steve says to the both of us and we both roll our eyes. "You two would really get along if you'd give each other a chance."  'Bucky' looks me up and down and puts his hand out for me to shake and I look at it for a second. I sigh before shaking it probably a little harder than I should have but he only returned it shaking my hand harder.

"Alright you two let's go." T'challa said breaking our little strength contest. We all follow him into a lab. A very high tech lab. I knew dad made my suit out of their tech but this is so much cooler than I expected.

"Wow." I breathed walking up to what looked to be a holotable but like sand or something.

"Don't touch that." a young voice said from behind me. I held up my hands and backed away from the table. I turn around to see a girl who looks my age. "Who are you?" she asked as she walked to the table.

"Ferryn Stark, I'm here with those guys." I say pointing back to Steve and T'challa who are helping Vision come up here.

"Stark like Tony Stark?" she said as she started setting up equipment. I nodded as I watched her. "So you get how this stuff works?" she asked pointing to vision as they helped him on the table.

"I'd like to think so, I mean I'm 17 out of college and helping my dad with the tech side of avengers." I say slightly bragging.

"I'm Suri, I'm that guy's sister and technical genius." she says smirking as she brags right back at me. I'm gonna like her. She begins to scan Vision with what looks like a beaded bracelet. She flips her hand over and a hologram of the stone in vision's head is projected from the bracelet. Wow. "The structure is polymorphic" she said as she examined the scan.

"Right, we had to attach each neuron non-sequentially." Dr. B added.

"Why didn't you just reprogram the synapses to work collectively?" she asked.

"Because those idiots didn't think of it." I said crossing my arms. "If dad had let me work with the stone I would have thought of it." I said rolling my eyes.

"I'm sure they did their best." she said, forcing a smile at Dr B.

"Can you do it?" Wanda asked hopefully.

"Yes, but there are more than two trillion neurons here. One misalignment could cause a  cascade of circuit failures." Suri explained "It will take time, brother."

"How long?" Steve asked

"As much time as you can give me." she said looking at her scans.

"I can stay and help. Till they need me out there." I say to her. Just then I hear some alert go off.

"Something has entered the atmosphere." one of T'challa's warriors said, looking at her bracelet holo thing. Shuri and I stay in the lab, starting the process to get the stone out of vision's head. Wanda stays and watches us as we move things around on screen that activates the lasers going into Vision's head. Everyone else left to start the fight.
