Chapter 32

(Ferryn's P.O.V.)

"I can't believe I gave Beck those glasses. How could I be so stupid? He's probably spying on me right now, or sending drones to kill me." I rush around my hotel room closing curtains.

"You had access to killer drones?"

"Yeah, I didn't really want them and I almost killed Brad."

"You almost killed brad?"

"Look, I have to call Mr. Fury and tell him that Beck is a fraud but I think he tapped my phone."

"So, I'll call Ferryn. She works with those people right? Cause of her dad?" I stop and think about this option.

"No, She's not even here anymore. She went back home, probably to see her boyfriend." I huff as I pull out my suit.

"She was here? In Europe? Why would she leave? I mean they've been broken up for months now." I look up at her with my jaw dropped.

"They broke up?"

"Yes, but Peter, focus. If Ferryn isn't here, what are we gonna do?" She asks and I shake my head, trying to focus again.

"Right. I need to get to Berlin to talk to Fury in person." I rush back and start to take off my shirt. I suddenly remember that there's a girl in the room. I look at her nervously and I can see she's flustered too. She quickly turns around and I continue getting into my suit. Once my suit is on I see Ned standing in the door way.

"Oh, Ned, perfect!"

"Oh, awesome Costume! For- for the costume party."

"Ned, I told her." I cut him off so he didn't have to try to lie anymore.

"I figured it out." She smirks.

"Oh, cool."

"Like a long time ago." She brags.

"Look, Mystero is a fraud."

"But he saved Betty and I."

"No, he's been faking the whole thing with illusion tech." Mj helps explain.

"Yeah, he's using these hologram projectors."

"Whoa. That's crazy. So, you guys are like working the case together?" Ned asks, jealous that he wasn't included.

"It's been mostly me." MJ shrugs and I go over to Ned. 

"Look, Ned, call May, get her to call Mr. Harrington tells him she wants me to stay with family in Berlin till all this blows over" I explain to him and he nods.

"Yeah, got it, easy."

"Wow you guys lie with such ease." Ned and I look at eachother and shrug.

"Ok, I gotta go." I flip my goggles down and open the window."

"Wait, Peter the projector! You're gonna need this." Mj tosses me the projector and I catch it with ease.

"Don't tell anyone about this, anyone who knows about this is in danger." I say quickly and jump out the window to head to Berlin.

(Ferryn's P.O.V.)

I spend the entire plane ride looking through the internet for some research into alternate universes. There's nothing. Well nothing concrete. On the plane all I have is a laptop but I'm going right home to get my computers. I haul my bags up to the apartment and throw them all in my room. I start turning all of the computers and pull my holo table out and get it turned on.

"Ferryn? I didn't know you were coming home." Harley walks into my room. "You good?"

"I'm fine, I just need to get to work."

"You sure you don't want to shower first?" He laughs and I glare at him.

"I've had a long few days and I just came straight from a plane. I've got some things to do before I get to shower." I say as I continue setting up my equipment.

"Anything I can help with? I could help you or just get pizza." He smiles and starts to help me plug things in.

" Thank you, pizza sounds great right now." I smile and move what he plugged in to a better place. "Peperoni please, oh and can you get coffee too, I'm gonna need it."

"Alright, I'll get out of your way then. Good luck on whatever your working on." He says, walking out of the door.

"Thank you, love you Harls." I call after he's out of the door. My computers finally warm up and I start going through files. I have access to all of Dad's old files and work so that's where I start. I look for anything on other worlds and universes but I still can't find anything. I found where people have looked into it but no real evidence. So I decide to look into Beck. something comes up immediately. I can't believe it! Beck worked for my father! I knew something wasn't right about him. But I didn't expect him to be lying about it all. I tap into Peter's glasses, hoping to talk to him. No. Peter! The glasses weren't controlled by Peter anymore. The last command by Peter was giving Beck control. I go into full panic mode. I put up barriers on all my tech so anything Beck has control over can't get in. By now Beck probably has bugs in all of Shield so I can't contact them. Peter's probably hacked too. I need to see May! She can call Peter without a suspicion. I try to clean up as fast as possible and run out the door to go find May, completely forgetting that pizza was on the way.
