The blip (sequel to my stupid spider-boy)

Chapter 22

(Peter's P.O.V.)

She's with someone else? I just can't even imagine it. A few hours ago I woke up from what felt like a short nap and found out we have been dead for five years. We walk back into a war with Thanos and this time we win but Mr. Stark didn't. And then I find out Ferryn is dating someone else. I think this is the worst day of my life. I mean we won a war and it's still the worst day of my life. I understand that it has been five years but It's still crazy to think about.  I am in the car with Happy, on my home. He doesn't say anything to me and I just stare out the window. I'm not sure what to do. I love Ferryn. I feel like it's been two days since I've seen her. I got stuck in space and was worried out of my mind about her. I know I got all dusty but then I woke up in the same spot. It felt like two seconds and somehow five years has gone by. I don't think I have processed fully. We finally get to my apartment and May is outside.

"Peter!" She exclaims when she sees me. "What happened? I just woke up and there are people in our apartment and the car is gone- wait, are you alright?"

"May, we've basically been dead for five years." I say quickly. I wouldn't usually be this abrupt but I'm not too happy right now.

"What? How? I don't- Does it have to do with that big flying space thing?"

"Yeah,let's get a hotel or something and I'll explain." I say quietly and I'm guessing she can see how upset I am. We walk down the street for a second, towards a hotel. We get a hotel room and I sit down on the bed. I do my best explaining everything to May.

"So we all came back and we battled a bunch of aliens and Thanos again. Mr. Stark had to use the stones to make all the aliens and Thanos get dusted. The power from them was too much and he didn't make it." I explain to her. She stares at me, very confused.

"Oh, Peter. I'm so sorry." She says as she comes over to hug me. I can feel the tears fall down my face and onto her shoulder. After talking to Ferryn I kinda forgot about Mr. Stark. After a few minutes I pull away and wipe my face with the sleeves of my hoodie. "So, what now? Half of the population is back out of nowhere, our things are gone, and we don't have an apartment anymore. I guess I'm gonna have to go and see if my job will take me back. And do you go back to school? Five years and we are all just back without a clue." May rants and starts to pace around the room.

"May, it's gonna be ok. Half of the universe is going through the same stuff. I'm sure things will be figured out." I say blankly.

"Right, yeah. We'll be fine." She says and comes back to sit next to me. "I'm sorry, about that freak out. I know how hard this is for you." She says rubbing my back. "How's Ferryn doing? Did she get- you know.." She makes a snapping motion.  I take a deep breath.

"No, she- She's 23 now." I say, looking at the floor. "She's with someone else now." I say slowly and bite the inside of my cheek. She goes to hug me again but I stop her. "I'm fine. I'm gonna go see if Ned is ok." I say and stand up to leave.

(Ferryn's P.O.V.)

Happy left with Peter, leaving me in charge of Morgan. I have a bunch of her play toys in my little house to keep her entertained while I take a shower and get cleaned up. I put on a baggy sweater and jeans and go back out to sit with Morgan.

"Hey, goose. Whatcha playing?" I ask as I sit down on the floor next to her.

"Rapunzel and the avengers are saving the world." She smiles and shows me her doll and action figures. I laugh and remember when I bought her those. Dad didn't want to buy her an action figure of himself and the team, but I thought it was hilarious and got them for her. I hear a car pull up outside. I stand up and walk over to the door. I open the door and see Harley walking towards me. I smile, lightly and walk towards him.

"Ferryn, I'm so sorry. Tony meant a lot to me too." He says when he pulls me into a hug.

"It's ok. He saved the world and he's a hero. I told him we'd all be ok. We all have each other and we are all gonna be alright." I force a smile as tears start for the thousandth time today. I pull away just enough to look in his eyes and see that he is crying too. "We did it. We brought everyone back." I say, holding my hand up on his cheek. He smiled and leaned into my touch.

"Yeah, when mom called I just cried. She was really confused and I tried explaining what happened but I'm pretty sure it just confused her more." He said letting a little laugh out. I was close with his mom and sister when I was younger. I'm so happy Harley has them back.

"Come on, Morgan is inside and I'm sure she's ready for lunch." I pull away and bring him in the house.
