Vigilante Chronicles #4: Rhino's Stampede

(F/N's POV)

Rhino: "Where is the spider!"

Aleksei, now known as Rhino, was currently on his way to the Daily Bugle in the hopes of finding the photographer taking pictures of spidey AKA me. I just got out of school and got off the train. I was on my way to the Bugle as well, to turn in some new pictures. I heard the Rhino before I could see him. I turned the corner and could see that the police had already surrounded him and a few pro heroes were on the scene, including Death Arms, Kamui Woods, and Backdraft. Backdraft was focused on keeping the civilians back by creating a barrier with his water, like caution tape. Kamui Woods was trying to trap Rhino using his wood while Death Arms tried to engage Rhino in a frontal attack. He punched Rhino's armor, but it was useless. 

Rhino: "Weak punches like that won't be enough. Not against my impenetrable hide!" 

Rhino swung his fist, knocking Death Arms back. He was hit into a shop and burst through its wall. Death Arms was out cold. Kamui Woods jumped in and began to spread branches of wood from his arm.

Kamui Woods: "How dare you cause a ruckus in the middle of the city. This next attack will end your needless violence. Pre-emptive Binding Lacquered Chain Prison!"

Kamui Woods shot out the branches, which began to rap around Rhino who appeared trapped for a moment. Then Rhino smirked and flexed his arms, ripping through the wood that surrounded him.

Kamui Woods: "It didn't work?"

Rhino: "you thought your twigs were gonna save you from me? Get real!"

He charged Kamui Woods, who quickly formed a wooden shield to defend himself. Rhino charged through and easily broke the wood. Backdraft switch to attack and tried to blast water with enough pressure to hold Rhino back. Rhino dug his heels into the concrete and began to move forward through the heavy stream of water, cracking the ground as he got closer and closer to Backdraft. Rhino then moved his arm and backhanded Backdraft, sending him flying back. 

Rhino: "The boss was right! This armor kicks ass! You pros are useless against it. Hey tree-man. Bugs like to dig into trees, don't they? Maybe the spider is hiding in the wood on your body. I guess I'll have to crush you and find out."

Rhino lifted his foot over Kamui Woods and was about to stomp it down to crush him. However, a web shot out and attached itself to Kamui Woods. It yanked Kamui Woods out of the way just as Rhino put his foot down, leaving a small crater in the ground.

Kamui Woods looked up and weakly spoke to his savior.

Kamui Woods: "The spider? What are you doing here?"

F/N: "The way you use your wood reminds me of how I use my webs. We should share notes and battle strategies some time. Too bad we can't associate since I'm a vigilante."

Rhino: "I guess I don't have to smash up the Bugle after all. You're here, bug."

F/N: "Hold on a minute. I know that voice. Aleksei, is that you?"

Rhino: "The name's Rhino now."

F/N: "Come on pal. It's a bit early for Halloween, wouldn't you say. And your costume is so lame. How do you even take it off?"

Rhino: "Wouldn't you like to know. Too bad for you, it's permanent. It interacts with my quirk to make me the toughest there is. I'm not going to be your punching bag anymore, spider."
