Chapter 002

The police station named J.U.P located in Moscow, also fully known as Justice Unite Police, was the home of the most successful and the greatest investigators. Erik was part of a Team named Black Lions, who have accomplished quite a lot in only one year.

Erik stepped a foot into the station and was immediately approached by his teammates.

"Erik, there's a new body found near the police station north from here"

Erik was given a file which he opened. He scanned the little information and every detail written on it, but closed it after a few seconds and gave it back to Alexei.

"Gather the team for a meeting"

Alexei nodded and immediately bolted to obey the orders of his friend and leader.

"Are you saying that it's a gang doing?"

"I believe it could be. We've seen similar actions done by former gang members. It could be a possibility. Besides the most important thing now is to figure out the identity of the man behind these gruesome actions and bring peace to the minds of the people"

Alexei glanced over at their only female teammate, Katrina, who was scratching her head before slowly standing up and sighing.

"Isn't this case a little misleading? I mean, we've seen what a gang leader can do. We lost the case with Vladimir Petrov, we are just messing up our reputation with the public Erik"

Erik knew what Katrina meant. Months ago when they were working on a case surrounding Vladimir Petrov, a case that they had to discontinue, and he was never seen or heard from again. He may have changed and started a new life, but the fact that he disturbed the public and the fear he caused will never change. His men left evidence or as they like to call it "presents" or "dessert" which were human bodies on streets as a sign of how bold and untouchable he could be.

Erik knew that fact but for some reason he believed that they could finally crack this case and catch the monster behind these actions.

"Vladimir Petrov was a fearful figure I can admit to that, however the case according to our Boss was semi-solved since the public grew peaceful after the disappearance of Vladimir Petrov and his vicious actions"

A warm touch covered his hand and he lifted his head up and glanced at the hand holding his and it belonged to Katrina who was smiling kindly.

"We'll do it. As a team we've accomplished so much and this case is no different, right?"

She looked at everyone as she asked.

Everyone smiled and nodded.

"Thank you guys"

Erik grabbed the file and got up.

"Let's visit the crime scene. Maybe they left more than just a body"

"Yes, sir!"

Erik stepped out of his white and luxurious car along with Katrina and Maskim, their forensic expert, and they made their way towards the lying lifeless body.
