"I told you to call him, not fight with him!"

The two were sitting on a separate bed right across from Katrina as she was scolding the two of them for their fight.

"Erik I told Maksim to call you and make sure you know I was fine. I took a nap and this happend, are you serious?"

"I was treated like shit, how else am I supposed to respond? Give him a cookie?"

"No, but a fist isn't the answer!"

Erik rolled his eyes and turned his head. Maksim on the other hand gently grabbed Katrina's hand and leaned close to her face making her lean backwards and shocking and also surprising Erik.

"I'm sorry Katrina. It won't happen again"

"W-why did you refuse to call Erik?"

He looked down, avoiding eye contact but before he could answer Erik got up which caught both of their attention.

"It doesn't matter anymore. As long as you're fine and he showed his true colours, I'm good"

He wished Katrina a good night before turning around and heading out of the room.

There is a higher place where the entire city can be seen. The entire view is absolutely breathtaking and Erik was there inside his car holding a bottle of vodka in his grip and was staring at the lights brightening the city in the dark night.

He was sniffing and sighing.

Erik was someone who takes simple things rather seriously and even though Maksim's actions weren't as bad as other people would take, Erik couldn't take it easy. He knew why Maksim did that, why he refused to communicate with him. He hasn't been the greatest leader so far, he's been making so many careless mistakes and stupid decisions which led to Katrina's injuries and the deaths of some people.

The case regarding the Russian mafia and their egotistical actions have been getting the best out of Erik and like mentioned he took this case seriously since it involved the people and also his friends who are also his teammates, who might have lost their hopes in him.

Alcohol was the only answer, even though Erik was always against the idea of vodka, but this day was just the final straw.

Before he could even touch the tip of the bottle his phone began to vibrate which he was capable of hearing since it was lying right beside him on the other seat.

He glanced down and picked his phone to read the name of the caller. After identifying the caller as Alexei, one of his teammates, he accepted the call and placed the phone against his ear.

"Sir, we examined the golden bullets and the strange symbol. We also compared the tattoes and symbols of other gang members and none had the same symbols"

"We're dealing with someone clearly new to this crime world and someone who's as dangerous as every other mob boss. The symbol must represent something to them. And also if the bullets are golden and have a symbol on them then the mob boss is definitely a wealthy man so keep that in mind. Thank you for letting me know Alexei"

"No problem sir. Sorry if it's not enough"

"Sometimes little things are more than enough. Good work"

"Thank you sir. Good night"

Their call ended right there.

Erik lowered his hand but his eyes laid their attention on a specific name that was underneath the other names. He moved his finger towards it and his eyes closed while touching that contact's name.

Sergey was working in his office and was completing a few papers. He's been inside the office for more than 5 hours and was finally able to complete everything in peace.

After turning to the side he noticed how the sky darkened and the wind blowing cold air. He couldn't help but think about Misha's condition and that thought made him clench his fists tight.

The thought that Misha was lying on the palms of that ex-gangster made his blood boil. He couldn't stand that thought so he got up and left his office with the lights on and papers lying there.

Erik didn't receive an answer so he slowly lowered his hand and tigehtend his grip on his phone.

He bit the bottom of his lip as he couldn't take this heavy feeling against his chest.

Erik grabbed the steering wheel and pressed his forehead against as he quietly closed his eyes trying to calm his nerves underneath the cold and lonely sky.
