The door slowly closed and the two left Misha in the dark. The only light that brightened the room was the moon, it was especially brighter today and it even shined on Misha's eyes waking him up in the process. His lifted his eyes open and scanned the room, he noticed how nobody was around him and how the room was dark.

For some reason he felt a strong pressure on his chest that made it hard for Misha to breath. He lifted himself up, placed the pillow behind him and leaned himself back. He grabbed his phone and as soon as he opened the phone screen he spotted Erik's name.

He called him.

Misha dialed Erik's number and pressed the phone against his right ear.

After a few rings their phones connected.

Even though they could talk, share their concerns and worries - instead the two stayed quiet. Misha was able to hear Erik heavy sighs.

"Erik, what's wrong?"

He whispered.

"I ... I'm ...."

For some reason Erik didn't continue. Misha's heart had stopped functioning, he couldn't describe this feeling he had within. Hearing Erik's current condition didn't do well for his heart and he needed to know why. Meanwhile Erik knew that sharing something personal to a man he barely knows anything about wouldn't be wise but for another dumb reason Misha has this very weird trustworthy aura to him like you don't need to know him for so long in order to trust him.

"What are you doing? Are you alright?"

After a few seconds Erik finally spoke up.

"You haven't visited me in awhile"

Misha stayed quiet. He knew that Erik was simply dodging the actual issue but if that's what he wants then Misha can't force him to speak the truth. He couldn't do anything other than chuckle at Erik's obvious attempt at changing the subject.

"You used to appear in places and situations where I needed someone, where are you now?"

"Do you need someone right now?"

Even though Misha heard Erik's laugh across from the phone he knew deep inside that this laugh wasn't for joy, it was meant for pain and the tense situation.

"Misha"

Hearing Erik call Misha's name with his soft husky voice made his heart tickle and the urge to leave the mansion and be beside that idiot was getting higher and higher, and stronger and stronger.

Yet ... at the end he only tighetened his grip on the phone.

"Nevermind. It's not important anyway. Sorry for calling you this late, I'm sure you have better things to do"

"Don't ever apologize to me for such matters"

Misha immediately responded by biting his teeth.

Erik released the steering wheel and began rubbing his eyes.

"Don't rub your eyes too hard. They'll turn red"

"Oh please shut up! I'm man, crying wasn't meant for me. Besides I've never had someone care for me so much, who are you?", he let out a laugh.

"I'm Misha", Misha responded seriously and in a low tone which made the atomosphere got colder and quieter, until Erik broke the tension by asking an unexpected question.

"You ... wouldn't lie to me ... right?"

Misha looked down at his fist and noticed the scar left by Sergey the last time they saw each other and that memory brought Misha's criminal life memories to him. He has seen more dead people than a doctor or a soldier and that's not an understatement. He knew that if Erik ever found out about his real job - he would never talk to him again. But lying isn't an option however ...

"No"

... his heart couldn't bring itself to deny this question.

Even though he answered truthfully from the heart deep inside his mind, he knew this was a lie. He had to lie, he's not someone who can have a relationship with anyone. He'll forever be tangled with Sergey and the mafia. There's no turning back at this point.

Erik let out a chuckle. The chuckle was a replacement for the pressure whuch was slightly lifted and was a huge relieve for him.

"Thank you Misha"

"Glad to be useful"

"By the way, where are you?"

Erik asked the man who made him smile. His nose was bothering him so he turned around and pulled a tissue from the back before hearing another man's voice coming from Misha's side, and then having Misha's sentence be cut off all of a sudden, caused for Erik to widen his eyes in confusion and worry.

"Misha?"

• • •

The phone flew across the room, and when meeting the wall, made a rather loud noise. The screen was definitely shattered.

Misha turned to the side and spotted an angry Sergey breathing heavily, sweating like crazy and glaring like the devil standing right in front of him.

"You will regret this"
