Chapter 017

The bathroom door opened and Erik stepped inside to complete his usual morning routine before going to work. He brushed his teeth and took care of his hair at the same time, which was multitasking at it's finest. After completing his morning routine, Erik went towards his closet and searched for an appropriate outfit.

He went for only black since he's not feeling any colourful emotions at the moment. After putting some perfume on and shoving the important files and things in his bag, he unlocked the door and left his apartment clean and tidy.

He drove to the station, which was rather a large building, and parked near it then stepped out and walked towards the entrance.

Literally not even a second passed with his presence in the building and already he's surrounded by his colleagues, especially Katrina and the others.

"Erik, how are you feeling?"

Katrina asks with a bright smile on her face along with a warm cup of tea which she happily hands to Erik, who's still confused by everyone's behavior.

He was sitting in his office enjoying the calm and silent environment and also the tea given to him by Katrina, who's currently looking through some papers outside.

Erik was watching some video footage from the latest incident, he noticed how the man that they caught from the old building had a strange looking bruise on the back of his neck. It looked more like a symbol rather than a bruise or scar. So to make sure he pulled photos from the other suspects from previous incidents and that's when he realized that most of them had this snake symbol but on different part of their bodies.

He quickly got up to show this strange yet interesting clue to the others but before he could even grab the doorknob, the door opened by itself and revealed a panicked Katrina coming in.

"Erik, this letter"

Erik glanced down at the letter she was holding, he raised his hand to grab it but at the same time he heard a familiar noise coming from behind him. He slightly turned his head, only to be shoved harshly backwards by a sudden explosion right behind them, which send both him and Katrina backwards.

Sergey watched as one of his men pressed a button which after a few seconds activated itself and absolutely wrecked one part of the building Erik and the others were in.
