Chapter 5 - Slight Inspiration

Tanjiro’s POV

It’s about to start. There were people coming in and taking their seats. Someone also announced, who i’m guessing is their manager, the idols will be there soon. I get some drinks and position myself near the window where I can clearly see the stage. I was so excited to see him!

After a few minutes, the manager comes out again and starts talking.

“Hello, everyone! I hope you are having a great day today!!” The crowd screams in excitement. It was pretty much only girls in the concert hall. The manager starts talking again.

“Thank you so much for being here! I imagine that you are very excited to see our idols. Am I correct?” The crowd screams ‘yes’ in unison. Their screams were just so loud that it pierced my ears. After they finish screaming, the manager starts talking and finally starts to introduce the idols. My heart was beating really fast and I was also shaking from the excitement.

“Without further ado, please welcome! Kaigaku!” The crowd screams once again as the idol goes on the stage and waves and bows. He takes the microphone from the manager.

“Hello, everyone! I’m Kaigaku and I’m sorry to say that… Zenitsu will be running a little late today…” The crowd yells “aww” in disappointment. My heart slows down and my body stops shaking. I became really sad and disappointed. I didn’t think there was a possibility that this would actually happen. I lean my back on my chair and decide to wait a little bit. Kaigaku started singing but alone. I’ll admit that his voice was really good too but… I came here for Zenitsu.

--time skip—

I was starting to become really tired and bored. It’s been about 30 minutes and he still hasn’t showed up yet. The crowd was still enjoying and singing along despite, Kaigaku performing alone. I was really about to leave until I heard Kaigaku stop the music and stop singing. I sit back at my seat and see that Zenitsu was there. He was finally here! But he was sweating all over and panting. He looked like he couldn’t breathe. He takes the microphone and starts speaking.

“Hello, everyone! I’m so so sorry for being late!” He bows and apologizes. My eyes start to immediately sparkle and water. It was him. The blonde boy in my dreams. It really was him!! The instant I heard his voice, I immediately recognized it and memories come lashing out in my mind.

I start to cry over happiness that I finally found him. I finally found you, Zenitsu!! After all these years, I finally found him again! I remembered the pain and the stress of not being next to him, of not being able to hold his hand, and the pain of not even seeing his smiles and hearing his soothing voice after so many years, just got healed when it all came rushing back to me. How could I forget?! I sit back again and see him getting prepared to sing.

“Let’s start the music!” He says as he smiled. I recognized that smile from a mile away. It was really pretty and adorable! His voice was as soothing and as good as I remember. I really missed him so much!

His sweat glistened from far away. It was like glitters flying round the stage. His singing and his eyes showed so much confidence and determination. He wasn’t fazed at all with the huge crowd that was in front of him. He then locks eyes with me. We make eye contact for a while and he looks at me with a shocked face while singing. His eyes goes back to normal and flashes me a smile. I start to blush and my heart was now beating out of my chest. I look away in embarrassment but I turn almost immediately back. I didn’t want to miss a single moment of him being here. In front of me.

I start to become a really big fan with his songs and singing. The idol next to him, Kaigaku, was really good too! Their voices were so good together and they were pretty much in sync! Without noticing it, I was singing along to the songs and practically, yelling it even. He was smiling and dancing! He really looked like an angel!! I love him so much!

After finishing up the song, his manager comes out and announces something.

“Sorry for interrupting but, I have an announcement! The idols will be singing again here next week! This is compensation from Zenitsu being late!” He looked at Zenitsu with a death glare but Zenitsu just chuckles nervously and rubs the back of his head.

“This marks the end of the concert!” The crowd sadly screams in disappointment again but this time, I join them. It really was sad to see concerts ending. It was sad to see or hear about anything that’s ending. But the manager reassures all of us.

“D-don’t worry, everyone! They’ll be here again next week!” I then hear some sighs of relief. I might have to ask Kanao to hook me up again with another ticket. Maybe, I’ll even ask her to book me an appointment with him! That would be great!

With the idols leaving the stage and saying goodbye, I guess this means that it’s really ending. I enjoyed the last bit but I was sad that Zenitsu wasn’t there the entire time. I clean up the drinks and leave the room.

As I walked down the stairs, I had noticed that the guard was still there! I head outside and decide to give my thanks and gratitude to him for guarding and blocking the door.

“T-thank you so much! Sir!” I bow while saying that. I don’t hear a reply from him. He instead says:

“The car will be leaving soon. Let’s go.” H-huh? Car? What car? I don’t recall ordering any pick-ups or services…

“Uh- what car?” I question him. I was really confused as to what he was talking about. Then again, he does things without explanation. He does the action first, and then the explanation. Huh. Really weird.

“Ms. Kanao said to pick you up and drive you to your house.”

“O-oh. She did huh.” I sigh in relief. I really don’t know why Kanao is going to such lengths to try and help me. I really should give my utmost gratitude to her when we see each other again.

We enter the car and start heading to my house. It was a really quiet ride but it had some music playing. I just use my phone and check my new notifications or anything.

Without realizing it, we were already there. He opens the door for me and I get out. I bow my head and give my thanks as I start walking towards my house.

I enter and immediately collapse. I stand back up and take a shower. Since I ate a lot at the concert, I’m too full for dinner. I head to my room and jump in my bed. I thought that it was really nice going out again. I’ve just been sitting in my room for the past 2 months and work on albums and songs. As I thought about that, my head has been hit with an idea.

That concert, that remembrance, and that particular eye-contact with him, just gave me a slight inspiration into what song im going to make next!

Chapter 5 is out everyone!! I kind of rushed this chapter because it was getting a little bit late and I was kind of tired making this so…. Im sorry about that! But enjoy!! =)))
