Chapter 8

It's been 4 days since Yen and Hwaso left and gone missing. It's been 4 days that we're here guarding the gates of Silla. I'm not complaining, but it's just that.. Aish nevermind.

"I wanna sleep." Sooho whined.

"Aish what's with this girl.." Banryu complained.

"She cares for her. No doubt he's in love." Sunwoo said. I nodded in agree.

While we're talking we saw two familiar faces riding with their horses.

"It's Yen and Hwaso!" Sooho exclaimed.

Yen was wearing a mask and not feeling well. She just pass to us, not getting a greeting from her. Hwaso pulled her horse.

"I'm sorry for worrying you guys." she bowed. "And sorry for the way Yen behaved, something happened and it's not for me to tell." she forced her smile. We nodded. She then followed Yen.

"What happened to Yen?" I asked.

"There's no time for that. Go tell Jinheung that Yen is back." Sunwoo ordered. We nodded and mount up to our horses.

We ride to our horses and stop at the Palace. As we opened the door, we saw Jinheung sitting on his throne with cold face. We bowed to him.

"Yen and Hwaso is back, Pe Ha." Sooho stated. He widened his eyes and stood up. "But Yen isn't feeling well Jinheung. She's in a bad mood." Sooho continued.

"What do you mean?" Jinheung asked. The door opened once again, revealing Pa Oh. Jinheung walk to Pa Oh and hugged him.

"Hello hwarangs," he greeted us and we bowed. "Pe Ha, I came early to tell you a news." he said to Jinheung.

"What is it?" Jinheung asked. "The King of Goguryeo passed away." Pa Oh answered. We widened our eyes and exchange glances.

'Yen was back with sad face, Hwaso told us that something bad happened. Is this a coincidence?' I thought to myself.

"What will happen to the alliance? Is there news to the Princess?" Jinheung asked. "Nothing news about that, Pe Ha." Pa Oh answered. Jinheung nodded. Pa Oh bowed and go to his room.

Jinheung sat on his throne. "Can't.. I visit her?" he asked us. "It's fine. Sunwoo said that Yen is with them." Banryu answered. Jinheung nodded. I'm sure that he's worried.

𝘼𝙝𝙧𝙤 𝙋𝙊𝙑
I am cleaning the herbs while thinking about Yen. She just disappeared like a bubble. I can't help but to worry about the two young girls. While doing my business, I saw Yen and Hwaso mounting down to their horses. Is this real? I ran to Yen and hugged her.

"You got us worried sick Yen!" I cried. I saw Hwaso in a sad face. I felt the warm tears drenching my hanbok. I broke the hug and saw Yen crying. "What's wrong?" I asked her. She just sobbed. Hwaso touched my shoulders. "Can I take her in the room, eonni?" Hwaso asked me. I nodded and we helped Yen.

After we lay Yen on the bed. We left her to let her rest. Hwaso and I sat on the table. "Eonni, I'm sorry for leaving like that." she apologized. "What happened?" i asked her directly. "Something just happened to her family eonni. I can't tell in details." Hwaso answered. "The important thing is you guys are safe. Please don't leave like that. You don't understand how we are worried to the both of you," I said she look down, "Especially Jinheung." I continued.

"His highness?" she look at me. I nodded. "I'm sorry once again, eonni." she said. I hugged her and then we talked.

𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙋𝙊𝙑
I already missed him. The one and only man who loved me. The man who I loved. My heart is broken, I don't know how to fix this. I don't know what to do but cry and cry. I didn't notice the time. It's already night. Hwaso entered the room.

"How are you, Your majesty?" she bowed. I fixed myself and hugged her. "Call me Yen, we're not in Goguryeo." i said to her. "His highness wanted to see you." she said. I broke the hug and my heart beats faster. She smiled at me. "Tell him that I can't see him. I'm not feeling well." I sat down on the edge of the bed. Hwaso bowed as saying yes. I'm sorry Jinheung, I will face you soon.

It's been two days and I've been feeling better. The boys keeps on repeating that he wanted to see me. That sentence makes me smile a little bit. As I am done washing the laundry, I walk back to eonni's house. I saw Jiro with Hwaso playing, as always. Ahro eonni approached me. "When are you going to visit him?" she asked me.

I look at her with widen eyes. "Um, maybe later? That jerk missed me huh?" i teased. "More than you think." she chuckled. "I'm gonna shower eonni, I will visit him now." Ahro smiled at me and nodded.

I am done dressing and doing my hair. I grab my mask and put it on my face. I mount up to my horse and ride to the Palace.

I arrive at the Palace and mount down to my horse. I sigh before opening the door. As I opened the door the hwarang boys smiled at me. Jinheung sat on his throne in cold expression.

I removed my mask. "Annyeonghaseyo Hwarangs," I bowed to the boys, they just smiled at me. "Annyeonghaseyo Pe Ha, missed me?" I teased him. He stood up with the same expression and walk to me with his hands on the back. I was nervous.

He grabbed my arms and hugged me. I was shock at his actions but smiled a little bit. My head was on his chest and I can hear his heartbeat. "Why did you do that you pabo(fool)." he said while hugging me. I look at him, 'wah he's really tall' I thought to myself. "Mian(sorry)" I chuckled.

"Ehem ehem, we're still here." Yeowool dropped the fakest cough I've ever heard. Jinheung look back at them and remove his arms on mine. "Y-yah, we're just friends." He stuttered as he sat down to his throne. "By the way Yen.". My attention came back to him. "I heard that your King in Goguryeo passed away." I look down trying not to cry. "Y-yes." I stuttered. "Are you alright?" Yeowool asked. I look at him, "Of course not. Hearing that our King died broke my heart because I am from there. But I'm trying to be okay." I answered. I hope I'm not obvious.

"We're going back to work Yen." Sunwoo stated. "Oh sure, don't mind me. I'll get going then." I glanced at Jinheung, he smiled at me. I left the Palace with light heart. As I opened the gate, I saw a Goguryeo guard. The guard noticed me and he bowed. I notice that I'm not wearing a mask. Damn it, I forgot where my mask is.

"Stand up." I ordered as he hand me a letter. "From the Her Highness." i raised my hand ordered him to leave. I mount up to my horse and saw Banryu. "Omo! (oh my god)" I startled. "B-banryu, how long have you been standing there?" I asked him. "Just.. just now" he answered. "Here, your mask" he handed me my mask. "Thank you" i
I said as I ride. 'I hope he didn't noticed that' I thought to myself.

(Before the incident)
As Yen left, I notice that she left her mask. "Guys, I'm going to hand this mask to Yen." I said.

"Do it faster, Jinheung will get jealous." Sooho teased. "Yah, I'm married." i glared at him. "Wrong move man" Yeowool teased makes Sooho hit him. I chuckled as I ran to Yen.

I was going to approach her but I saw a guard bowing at her. As the guard left I approached her. She then thanked me and ride on her horse. Now I'm getting curious about her. 'What are you hiding, Yen?'
