So I was talking to my friend about the church fire scene and I've come up with a theory. I wanna know if anyone else has considered this?? Idk.
Basically they had matches (I'm assuming matches bc I think they said matches in the book) to light their cigarettes and such. When they left with dally to DQ maybe some of the kids got ahold of the matches. When that happened maybe they accidentally set the church on fire.
Idk because they never say how the fire started because ponyboy didn't know, so that's my theory on how it happened?
