Chapter 34: Travels

*Ryker's POV*

The effects of the final Poison Repellent had ran out. Camp is a few miles back from where we came from so we're just pushing on in hopes that we might encounter another village. But since this is Fallen Eye territory, I know that there is no other village out here.

Qrow kept murmuring about something about someone not coming back. I sigh. Not the first time I've seen someone act like this. One of the person I've seen to act like this is Luna.

*Small Flashback*

I knocked softly on Silver and Luna's bedroom, Silver texted me saying that Luna is having a nightmare so Newt and I made her strawberry treats to make her feel better after. I slowly open the door and see Luna crying in her sleep as Silver lay next to her.

Luna: *crying* please... no more... I'll be a good girl... just *sobs* don't hurt me...

Newt and I sigh and sat next to her and slowly wake her up. After a few tries, she shot up awake. She saw all three of us and hugged me and Silver. Newt joins us as she cries. Silver carried her on her lap while Newt fed her and I keep brushing her hair.

Silver became her big sister, Me and Newt became her big brothers.

*Flashback End*

Me: I miss her. But I got a job to do.

Jaune and Ruby carried Qrow, Nora and Ren on each side, and I lead them since I know these parts.

Ruby: Will we reach another village in time?

I slowly shake my head.

Me: *disoriented voice* Not at this rate. The next villages were destroyed for a long time now. We could pass Kuroyuri but a Nuckelavee was last sighted there.

I noticed that Ren and Nora tensed up after I said the Nuckelavee.

Me: *disoriented voice* But we could pass the mountains since that's a faster route to Mistral.

Ruby: But Kuroyuri might hold medicine, right?

Ren: No, it won't. It's been destroyed for a long time now. We just have to press on.

A moment of silence passes.

Nora: How about you guys wait at Kuroyuri. Ren and I will try to get help by crossing through the mountains.

Jaune: What? No. We have to stay together.

Me: *disoriented voice* I have a flare gun with me. We could send that out but we have to hold our ground at Kuroyuri.

Ren and Nora didn't like the idea but it's the fastest way to get help rather than splitting up. They all nod at me and we went to Kuroyuri.

*Meanwhile, Angel's POV*

It's been a few days ever since Yang is back to fighting shape. She managed to beat her dad... And me, sadly... Her dad told me that she's planning on looking for her mother to ask for her help to look for Ruby. Hana and I wear already packing up so that we could be ready.

Yang: Hey.

I look behind me and catch something that she toss at me. I see that she toss me a set of new clothes. Inside the clothes was a brand new longsword and a set of gauntlets. I look at her.

Yang: Consider it a thank you gift. Besides, you can't go with me with broken gear.

She points at my nearly broken longsword and my ruined clothes. I sigh and nod at her.
