Chapter 36: Crash

*Somewhere in Anima*

The Atlas airship of Newt, Silver, and Weiss are flying over Lake Matsu. This lake is famous for it's floating islands. Weiss sees this and decides to ask Newt about them.

Weiss: Where are we?

Newt: Lake Matsu. The gravity dust on the islands are giving me a hard time to fly but that's not my real concern. It's the Grimm that these islands hide.

As soon as Newt mentioned Grimm, a flaming Mistralian airship nearly hits their own airship. The two watch as airship crashes and explodes on a nearby island. Another airship was getting attacked by Grimm.

Newt: Those things will go after us now...

Silver: Lemme fly this shit!

Silver walks in, looking sober.

Newt: Fine, but don't crash us!

Weiss and Newt climb down on the cargo hold while Silver flies the airship.

Newt: Please tell me you still know how to fly?

Silver: *on radio* {Obviously! I was taught how to fly and you on how to fix this damn shit!}

Weiss creates gravity glyphs below her and Newt to keep them in place. The cargo doors open and Lancers were already on their tail. Newt activates his newly modified Wristbow, now called Wrist Cannon, and open fires at the Grimm. Weiss creates glyphs that fire white projectiles at the Lancers. Both took out a few Lancers but more kept coming.

Silver: *on radio* {Hold on you two!}

She flies dangerously close to the islands, which attracts the Grimm into the islands due to the gravity dust, taking out a lot of them due to the gravity. However, there were still a few that managed to hook them.

Silver: *on radio* Shit! We're hook!

Newt: I got this.

Newt does something to his Wrist Cannon which the projectiles he starts firing are now to homing to nearby Grimm, taking out those that managed to hook them.

Weiss: Silver, can you find any islands that we could fit between?

Silver: Gurl, ya read mah mind!

Silver starts flying the airship through two parallel islands that had barely any breathing room. Weiss and Newt nod at each other before firing at the islands, forcing rocks to fall down to the following Grimm. Their ship made it past the islands safely.

Silver: *on radio* {Nice work you two! We're in the clear baby! Fuck yeah!}

The two sigh but Newt noticed that there was something bigger that's following them. They look back and see a bigger Lancer following them.

Weiss/Newt: A Queen Lancer!!!

Silver: *on radio* {FUCK!}

Newt and Weiss start firing at it but their attack did no damage. Weiss looks at the dust crates behind her and Newt. Newt notices this and nods at the ex-heiress. Weiss creates a gravity glyph that is big enough to stop them from flying away before both of them backflip behind the crates. Weiss uses more gravity glyphs to send the crates at the Queen Lancer before they were shot by Newt, resulting in a big explosion. The Queen Lancer, however, was not damaged but was staggered for a second. It starts firing stingers at them, thankfully Weiss created another big glyph to protect her and Newt but one of the engines was hit.

Silver: *on radio* {Fucking shit! Do something you two fucksticks or we're not reaching the shoreline ahead of us.}

Newt: *shouting* Shut up Silver, you're not helping!
