Adopted By Link (A Rhett and Link Fanfic)

Chapter 23: Merry Christmas.

It was Christmas Eve and everyone was excited. Especially us kids. Lando went to bed first then Lincoln and then it was just Lily and I. We were sitting with Christy. Link had gone to bed early. At around 11:00pm Christy asked us to go to bed. So we did. Before we both walked to our bedrooms Lily turned the lights for the tree on and she turned all the lights along the walls on. "Goodnight Lily," I said. "Night", was her reply. That night I was so excited for Christmas to come.

I woke up to Lando jumping on my bed screaming "WAKE UP WAKE UP'' I started laughing. I got up an walked down to the tree. Everyone was already up so I felt really bad for not waking up early. The kids were all sitting around the tree. Link gave Lily her presents then he gave Lincoln his presents then Landos and then finally he gave me mine.

My present was a big cardboard box. I sat patiently waiting for all the kids to unwrap their presents. Then it came to my turn. Link gave me the scissors and I cut through the sellotape. Right on the top was some New Zealand lollies like Curly Wurlys, Gay Bacon (rainbow belts) Sour Sticks ect. Underneath all the lollies were some gifts cards for Starbucks, Forever 21, Urban Outfitters, $30 iTunes gift card, ect. Underneath the giftcards was a pikachu onesie and a tigger onesie. They were so cute. Beside the onesies were three small boxes, I grabbed them out and set them on the floor. I opened the lightest box first. Inside was an iPad mini case. I turned to Link. "Did you guys get me an iPad mini?" ''Don't know,'' Link said. I opened up the next box. Inside was a keyboard for and iPad mini and a screen protector. Then I unwrapped the final box. Inside wan an iPad mini. I screamed and ran to Link and Christy. "Thank you, thank you, thank you," I said over and over again. I ran to the couch and started to set it up.

The kids were playing with their toys when we heard a knock at the door. I looked through the peep hole and a man that I had never seen before is at the door he is wearing a mask. I triple lock the door (don't ask me why we have three locks on our door) so he can't get in then I run to find Link and Christy. I ask Lily where they are and she told me they were in their room getting ready for lunch. Then man at the door starts knocking louder and Lily goes to answer the door. I ran and stop her before she unlocks the first lock.

I ask her to come with me and to also get the boys to come with us. We meet in the hallway outside Links room. I barge in and say quietly "Theres a man at the door with a mask on." Link creeps out of his room Christy follows behind him. The man starts to pound on the door really loudly. Link starts to unlock the door and I tell him to wait. "I'll be back, trust me.'' I run into my room and grab the cane that I had hidden so if intruders came in I could attack them before they cold attack my family.

''Link move!'' He moves out of the way and I unlock the door and he went for Lily. She screamed and tried to run away but he grabbed her and ran down the path and Link tried to chase after him but he was too slow. I sprinted after him and he got in the car before I could catch him but luckily he didn't see me jump on the roof. He drove to his 'lair' and I texted Link where his was. I called the for the SWAT team to come in and then were at his house really fast. They wanted to send guys in but I said no. I knew what to do. I sent the SWAT team to hide then. I ran into the SWAT van and luckily I had asked one of the SWAT men to drive to my house and grab one of the onesies on the ground. I changed into it and knocked on the door.

The same man answered. I asked to come in and he let me come in. He took me to where Lily was and Lily was about to say "Hi Norton,'' but I stopped her before she could say anything. The man turned his back on me and I gave him a dead leg and then I hit him again with the cane. I called the SWAT in and they took the man out. I untied Lily and the news was outside. We had an interview with the news and then the SWAT van gave us a ride back to the house.

Link was so happy to see us back at home safe and sound.

Ok so I know this chapter is a bit late but oh well. YOLO. It was fun writing this chapter. I hope you guys like the way this chapter is and if you want me to write another just like this in another 300 and 50 something days until Christmas come around tell me. Also wud and what did you get for Xmas. Every year (since i'm an only child) I get a big gift. In 2013 I got an ice cream maker. Last year I got an iPad mini from my dad and that was a big surprise.
