I continued staring at the screen in bewilderment. He did not just admit that on live TV. Is he insane!!

"And why should we believe you" Murray had stopped with the jokes and mocking. He had turned serious.
"I've got nothing left to lose. Nothing can hurt me anymore" Arthur retorted.
"Seriously! What about me. Do you not need me!?" I screamed at the TV as my face reddened. Just then I saw Arthur look towards a camera and give a slight smile. Was that for me?

The torture went on and on as I watched Arthur turn more and more aggravated.
"Why is everybody so upset about these guys. If it was me dying on the sidewalk you'd walk all over me. I pass you every day and you don't notice me but these guys, what because Thomas Wayne went crying about them on TV!" Arthur raised his voice as he addressed the audience.

Honestly I agreed with him at this point. He did make a valid reason. Although Murray didn't seem to agree. It felt like Arthur was trying to explain his reasoning not only to the public but to me also. I realized I never actually gave him much time to explain himself.

Murray tried understanding Arthur but it was no use.

"Have you seen what it's like out there MurrAy. Do you ever actually leave the studio. Everybody just yells and screams at each other. Nobody's civil anymore. Nobody thinks what it's like to be the other guy. You think men like Thomas Wayne ever think what it's like to be someone like me and-" He cut himself off just as he went to say my name. I gasped as I knew he still thought of me. He brushed it off before continuing. "They don't. They think that we'll just sit there and take it like good little boys! That we won't werewolf and go wild!"

He was shouting at this point. I had never seen him like this before. He was like a completely different person.

"You're awful Murray" He scowled at Murray. The look in his eye was deadly. The colour was lost and his pupils looked dark and sinister but I could see the pain behind his mask. I think I was the only one who could.
"Playing my video. Inviting me on the show. You just wanted to make fun of me. You're just like the rest of them!" He spoke through gritted teeth.

"How 'bout another joke MurrAy?" His entire voice, body language everything changed instantly as Murray tried to say no.

Arthur spoke over the top of him. "What do you get when you cross a mentally ill loner with a society that abandons him and treats him like trash" As he was speaking he grew more and more angry as Murray tried drowning out his joke.
My eyes were wide as I watched in horror.
"I'll tell you what you get.
You get what you fucking deserve!"
Arthur had pulled out the gun and shot almost simultaneously.

I screamed as Murray fell limp in his chair and Arthur began laughing to himself. The studio erupted into piercing screams and shrills of terror as I grabbed my mouth. Arthur stood up, looked around and then shot Murray once more. He walked up to the camera and grabbed hold of it. "Goodnight and always remember thats-" The TV went to an automatic screen with music, cutting Arthur off.

I jumped up and ran to my window. Down below there was gangs of masked people prancing around throwing smoke bombs and settings things on fire. There had to be hundreds of them all dancing around bonfires and chanting. Before I knew what I was doing I grabbed my mask from my bag and a hammer from my draw and left the building.
I needed to find Arthur before it was too late.

As I walked past the TV store, the news was on in every channel. Each one describing what had happened minutes ago on the show. I gave a little smirk before slapping myself in the face and continuing on.
I had joined the crowd and began fake prancing around. There was no sign of Arthur yet so I continued shouting.

My jaw dropped open as I saw someone appear from the smoke.

It was my mother.
