Chapter 2 - Mom is coming!

Mystic Falls, one week ago...

Caroline's POV:

I was walking around the town square waiting for Lizzie and Josie to arrive, as I decided that I was away long enough and it's time for us to reunite. I was sitting down at the grill when I smelled a strong scent of blood three streets away.

I vamp sped over to see what happened as it seemed that no one has noticed that something was wrong. As I arrived to the scene I saw the town sheriff standing over a dead body but it didn't seem like she was the one who killed him. "hey what happened here?" I asked her a little bit confused, "I was going to ask you the same thing, I just arrived here because someone called the police saying that he saw a man lying in the alley and not responding to the people around him" She told me, but she didn't looked at me, she was hiding something, like she knew something else was going on.

I looked her deep in the eyes "you are hiding something, FESS UP" I compelled her "Lately we have been tracking a creature that tortures his victims and basically dries them from blood before he kills them and vandalizes their body" she told me without any emotion shown on her face. I took a quick glance over the body, I looked over to his neck and saw something that I know too well – it was a vampire bite.

It didn't seem that the sheriff knew something about the supernatural world based on the fact that she called it a creature as if it's an animal, it is better to keep her like this so I once again looked her in the eyes "that 'creature' was a wild dog that ran away from the forest, now forget everything you saw today: the body and us meeting, go back to the station and leave the case." And with that she turned on her hill and left.

I immediately called to Alaric to inform him about our new vampire problem.

"Mom??" Lizzie answered the phone "hi baby how are you? Screw that where are you and Josie?! I've been waiting here way too much I started to worry" I said a little bit angry but not too much, they are my daughters after all.." sorry mom me and Josie had some sisters time and we lost track of time" Lizzie told me a little bit embarrassed "oh honey don't worry it's OK I'll just come to school and see you" I heard a loud gasp on the other side of the phone, aww my little baby is excited to see me

"seriously?!!!" she screamed "shut up Elizabeth" I heard Josie shouting in the background, I chuckled a bit "yes sweetheart I need to talk to your father about something, I wanted to do this on the phone but since you answered me and not your father I thought it would be nice to see you and talk to him in person." "OMG finally you're coming!!" she shouted "Lizzie shut the fuck up what's wrong with you?" Josie said frustrated "MOM IS COMING BITCH!!" that was my cue to hang up and let them fight on their own.

Lizzie's POV:

I was going to see dad because I needed to ask him something about our game against that Dana bitch and the rest of Mystic falls high next week, I was going to convince him to let us use our magic I'm sick of losing.

As I was walking in I saw him talking to sheriff mac but all of a sudden his phone rang "Don't worry dad I'll answer it" I grabbed his phone and saw it was mom so I ran to my room and answered it

"Mom??" I was surprised, why would she call dad in the middle of the week? "Hi baby how are you? Screw that where are you and Josie?! I've been waiting here way too much I started to worry" crap I forgot about it I was hanging out with Josie" sorry mom me and Josie had some sisters time and we lost track of time" ughh you stupid girl how could you forget it "oh honey don't worry it's OK I'll just come to school and see you"

I almost dropped the phone when she said that, mom never come to see us and I miss her so much "seriously?!!!" I screamed, maybe too loud "shut up Elizabeth" Josie yelled at me "Mind your own business Josette" I whispered to her in a stern voice.

"Yes sweetheart I need to talk to your father about something, I wanted to do this on the phone but since you answered me and not your father I thought it would be nice to see you and talk to him in person." I was so excited "OMG finally you're coming!!" I shouted "Lizzie shut the fuck up what's wrong with you?" Josie said frustrated "MOM IS COMING BITCH!!" and then mom hung up the phone, I turned to look at my sister, her face was priceless, she was shocked "mom is coming???" she asked still shocked of what I just said "yes Jo mom is coming!!! She wanted to talk to dad about something on the phone but since I answered the phone she said she'll come here" I said to her "wait but dad is with the sheriff doing who knows what!" Josie said worried "oh crap we need to stop them before something bad happens, I think that sometimes dad forgets that this school is full of vampires and werewolves that can hear every little thing" I told her, we both chuckled at what I said.

"Come on let's go we need to stop them before mom gets here." Josie said to me, luckily we arrived just in time to stop dad from doing things I will never forget but when the sheriff was about to open the door we heard someone opening it and it was the one person I wanted to see more than anything.

My mom.
