Chapter 4 - The plan

A/N - still in the flashback.

Josie's POV

Mom and dad looked up from the books they were reading "And that problem will be..?" dad asked unbothered by the situation, what's up with him today? "Sheriff Mac is still here dad" Lizzie said with a worried expression on her face.

"But why would she stay here?" mom asked us "Well maybe because we didn't compelled her to leave?" Hope said in a "wasn't it obvious?" kind of tone but she looked scared, or maybe concerned about the fact that the sheriff is still here "Dr.Saltzman who knows what she saw while she was here, what if she saw kids in school feed? It's a full moon tonight what is she will see the wolves turn? If I lose control? What if she saw us doing that spell to find to find that vampire?" Hope was starting to get nervous and the room was starting to shake, I've never seen her like that – scared of what will happen. I quickly grabbed her hand and told her "Hope calm down, we are going to find her and we will compel her to forget that she even was here okay?" desperate to calm her down before something bad happen, I grabbed her other hand and made her look me in the eyes "take a deep breathe" and she did, the room stopped shaking and I gave her a small smile and for my surprise she returned it. We were cut short from our "moment", was it a moment? Never mind as I was saying, we were cut from whatever that was when M.G came inside the office with unconscious Sheriff in his hands.

"M.G what happened?" I asked him shocked from what was happening "I saw her walking near Hope's room while you were doing the spell to find the vampire"

 crap Hope was right, she saw us "I knew it, I knew it, I told you she will see something what are we going to do?" Hope was starting to lose it again "Hey hey Hope look at me" I told her and she did "Everything is going to be alright we are going to fix this. We will wake here up and we compel her to forget and leave okay?" she nodded but I knew she was lying, so I took her hand in mine and she seemed to relax at my touch.

One hour later the sheriff woke up and we wasted no time as my mom compelled her to forget everything she saw and to leave. This time Hope and I walked her out to make sure she doesn't stay here. After she left we went back to dad's office to discuss our next or maybe the previous problem – the vampire in Mystic Falls.

When we walked in we saw mom seating in dad's chair while dad was standing next to his desk and Lizzie was sitting on the couch next to the books shelf .I took a quick glance at Hope to see that she is okay before I started to talk "So what are we going to do with that vampire? What's the plan?" My mom stood up and walked towards me "well first of all we need to know where he is. What did you find while you were doing the spell?" Hope walked next to me and said "We were about to tell you guys, but then the whole sheriff Mac thing happened".

Lizzie continued her "He will be at the grill tomorrow morning but we need to stop him before he sucks the blood out of all the people in there" my mom nodded but my dad looked at us like he doesn't believe us "And how do you know that he is going to kill them?" he asked and I could see that Hope is getting angry, that won't end well 

" We saw it in my vision, plus I don't think that a newly turned vampire will go for a burger instead of blood" Hope answered him coldly, while flashing her eyes yellow and he seemed to understand the fact that he got on her nerves and backed off. I think Hope is the only person who can stand up to my dad (except for my mom of course).

"So... the plan?" Hope asked clearly not wanting to be here anymore.

"Tomorrow morning we will wait for him to arrive but we will stay in an alleyway near the grill and by we I mean myself and the girls Alaric" my mom started and before dad could argue mom and Hope gave him a glare that said 'if you say something you will get hurt'.

"Once we see him Lizzie and Josie will put a barrier spell around him so he won't be able to hurt anyone. After that Hope and I will go in and try to talk to him. If talking won't work we will fight, NO KILLING unless we have no other option am I clear?" Mom asked us but mostly Hope.

"Crystal. Are we done here? I really need to go" Hope said, my mom nodded and we all left. Before Hope walked away I grabbed her hand and asked her if she was okay "yeah I'm alright I just need to wolf out to calm down" she answered with a nervous smile on her face practically begging me to let her be, so I did and she ran to the woods.

Hope's POV

I ran into the woods, took down my clothes and hid them behind the bush. I transitioned into my wolf form and started running. My head was full of thoughts; about the sheriff and the vampire and Dr.Saltzman just getting on my nerves – it was too much for me to carry so ran faster and faster until my head was clean from my thoughts. When I'm running I feel like I am the only one in the world and no one can bother me. Eventually I make my way back to my room, take a quick shower and go to sleep.

We have a long day tomorrow...
