Chapter 3 - We have a problem

A/N - this chapter is still a flashback, the next two or three episodes will be flashbacks and then back to our time.

Caroline's POV:

As I walked inside the office I was surprised to see sheriff mac in there but my girls cut my thoughts as they both ran into me and hugged me tightly.

Gosh how I missed these two.

"Mom you're here!!!" Lizzie and Josie screamed at the same time and I smiled from ear to ear, seeing them both happy made me feel like the happiest mom on earth. "HI babies! I missed you guys so much" I told them still in the hug, but of course SOMEONE had to ruin the moment, sheriff Mac cleared her throat "sorry to interrupt the family reunion but since you are here I would like to ask you about some animals attack that happened recently"

And then I remembered why I came here and the entire thing that happened in the town square, I smiled to her and innocently responded "sorry but I haven't heard about anything, after all I've just came back from Europe so nothing." My daughters and Alaric looked at me knowing that I'm hiding something but I gave them a look that says "shut up I'll explain later" and they just nodded. Suddenly Hope entered the room and it seemed like she was about to say something important but then she noticed that sheriff Mac was in the room and quickly closed her mouth. "hey Mrs. Salvatore, I didn't know you were coming, It's nice to see you" she said politely "Hi Hope I actually came to talk to Alaric about school related things and to see my girls" I told her while looking at my daughters and their father. We all glared at the sheriff waiting for her to understand that she needs to leave, after she came to realization that she is not welcomed here anymore she left the room and I followed her until she left.

I came back to Alaric's room and saw that Hope, Lizzie and Josie are sitting on three chairs one next to the other and Ric is behind his desk, all waiting for me to explain what's going on.

"So we have a problem. There is a new vampire running around mystic falls killing people every couple of hours. All the signs show that we are dealing with a reaper and he is probably a new vampire because he doesn't bother to clean up after him." I told them and Hope looks at me like she knows something.

Josie must have seen it to because the next thing that came out of her mouth was "Hope do you know something about it?" Hope looked at her and then at me and said "I've had these weird vision last night, in that vision I saw some figure running around the streets of mystic falls and hiding in the shadows behind the hospital. It must be this vampire you are talking about" "wait but how did you get the vision in the first place?" Lizzie asked hope confused but I had an idea, "I might have the answer for it, since Hope here is a tribrid, and her witch side was activated first, every full-moon Hope get those visions. Sometimes they don't have much of an impact on her or her surroundings' lives so she doesn't feel them. Am I right Hope?" I glance over her waiting for her to answer "Couldn't explain it better" Hope said with a small smile.

"Alright, so let me see if I got everything correctly – we have a new vampire running around and killing people, hiding behind the hospital probably to get some blood bags and we need to stop him before it gets worse?" Alaric asked "Quick learner Dr.Saltzman" hope said in a playful tone but then she turned serious "So what's the plan?"

Hope's POV

"So what's the plan?" I asked Caroline sternly, I'm really in the mood for some real fighting and not my training with Dr.Saltzman and his human bones.

"Mom before you say anything, don't you dare leaving me and Lizzie out of this plan" Josie suddenly said, to be honest? I may or may not have forgotten that she was here because she is so quiet and it looks like her parents were in the same situation as I, based on their surprised faces.

"Well in that case" Caroline started "You, Lizzie and Hope will do a locator spell to find this vampire" "but how are we supposed to do it without something that belongs to him?" Lizzie asked and then it clicked in my head -

"With my vision. We are basically going to predict where he'll be when we are going to get him" I said and everyone except Caroline were confused and surprised "we can do that?" Lizzie asked "well I've never tried it but my aunt Freya taught me that spell once and it's not that hard, but it does requires a massive amount of magic" I told the twins and they nodded "well it's a good thing you have two witches to do it with you" Josie said with a small smile .

"Wait do I have a say in this thing? I mean it can be dangerous" Dr.Saltzman asked 

"NO" we all yelled in unison, after that the twins and I left the office and went to my room to start with the spell.

"Wait so what is going to happen now?" Josie asked a little scared

 "we are going to dive into my subconscious in order to see another vision, if we perform the spell right you two will be able to get in as well and the three of us will be able to control what we will see" Josie looked at me still unsure pf the whole process "If? What if we do it wrong?" she asked worriedly

 "If we do it wrong you and Lizzie won't be able to go in with me and I will not be able to control what I see. Other than that nothing dangerous will happen." That seemed to calm Josie down "well let's start then" Lizzie said a little bit shocked of what we are about to do.

 "Join me please" I told them while sitting in the middle of the candles circle in my room.

The twins joined me in the circle holding each other's hands so that can siphon magic from me. We started chanting the spell and suddenly a bright light flashed and we woke up in the town square.

"Are we dead?" Lizzie asked and I chuckled a bit "No Lizzie we are not dead we are in my vision and since you two are here I'm guessing that we have performed the spell right, but we need to harry up because my visions are short." I told the twins and they both sighed in relief that we managed to do the spell, and I continued "now think about the time that we will get him – tomorrow morning" they both nodded and right after that there was another bright flash and we were looking at the mystic grill, watching as the vampire goes in and seconds later we hear people screaming. After that we woke up from the vision

"Well I guess we know where he is now..." Josie said hesitantly, probably not believing what we did "yep" I responded, popping the p.

"We should probably tell that to your mom right?" I asked them and the twins just nodded in response.

The three of us rushed to Dr.Saltzman office in order to tell them the news, but as we were walking my eyes caught someone that was staring at the three of us, I stopped and looked closer, with the twins following my line of sight and I couldn't believe my eyes "Is that-"I started

"Sheriff Mac" Lizzie and Josie continued in unison "but why is she still here? What if she saw us performing that spell?" Lizzie said and the room started to vibrate "Hey Liz calm down everything is going to be fine, we will go to your parents and tell them what happened and they will know what to do okay?" I said and the vibrates stopped.

We walked into the office and said in the same time "We have a problem".
