Chapter 5 - The Gemini twins

A/N - guess what? still in the flashback.

Hope's POV

The twins and I were walking behind Caroline to the alley near the grill, waiting for the vampire to arrive.

"Mrs. Salvatore he is going to be here soon" I told Caroline and she turns to face us "OK girls watch your backs and please be careful" the three of us nodded and looked around to try and see the vampire.

All of a sudden I heard a strange noise and by the look on Caroline's face she heard it as well.

"Someone is coming" I informed them and I felt the twins siphoning magic from me, it didn't hurt though. Once we saw the vampire I chanted a spell to keep him in his place while the twins chanted a barrier spell around him so he couldn't escape. Caroline walked towards him "Mom be careful" both Lizzie and Josie said at the same time.

Caroline looked straight into the vampire's eyes "Who are you?" she asked sternly but he didn't answer, She smirked "I'm going to ask you once again, don't make me ask you three times – who are you?" but he didn't reply, he just looked at the twins, like he wanted to hurt them. I stood in front of them and felt my eyes glow, the vampire tried to escape but the barrier stopped him and sent him back to his place. I took a step forward, getting angrier by the second, losing control over my wolf side, I was ready to rip his head off when I felt a hand on my shoulder, I turned around and met Josie's soft yet nervous smile. For some odd reason – I calmed down almost immediately, how? I really don't know but if I didn't the vampire would have been dead.

While I shared my moment with Josie I heard Lizzie casting a pain infliction spell which I guess happened because he tried to escape again, and then an idea popped into my head

"Veritas tempus" I chanted quickly.

"Hope what is that spell?" Caroline asked me

 "Truth spell, it will force him to answer us truthfully" I answered with my signature Mikaelson smirk, She rolled her eyes "Just like your father" . "Give it a try" I said but before she could Lizzie took a step forward "I'm going to ask you one last time before my sister will let go of Hope and she will go all wolf on you – WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?"

The vampire was fighting my spell but eventually he started talking "I'm here for the Gemini twins, to deliver a message" I felt Josie's grip tightens around my shoulder "What message?" I asked him with a hint of anger in my voice.

"The Gemini coven needs a new leader. The twins must merge before their next birthday" my heart crushed, Josie's smile fell down and Lizzie's eyes were full of fear.

I looked over to Caroline, asking for permission to kill him. She nods and with a flick of my wrist I snap his neck and Caroline vamp speeds over and staked him in the heart.

The twins ran over to Caroline, slightly crying and very much scared of what is going to happen.

If only we knew that someone was watching us...

Later that day...

Josie's POV

I'm scared.

Scared of the merge, Scared of losing Lizzie if I win, scared that Lizzie will go through a dark path if I lose, Scared of what will happen if we don't merge.

Just scared.

I was sitting in my room with Hope and my sister, trying to figure out what to do. Lizzie looked scared, exactly like me but Hope looked like she was thinking about something, an idea maybe "Hope what are you thinking about?" I asked curiously
