Carrie sat in the back of Allison Argent's car. Her heart beating loud enough to drown out any of the girls' thoughts while Lydia sat fuming in her seat. They had just pulled up to the Martin home and Allison's eyes flicked to the back seat to meet Carrie's. Carrie could register that Allison wanted Carrie's help, but all she could think about was how her brother was being hunted down by not just the hunters but Derek.
Allison took in Carrie's blank expression and hesitated before turning to Lydia who had been watching her since they had been dropped off at the school parking lot by Scott and Stiles who rushed out of there in an instant. "I need you to promise you won't say anything about what just happened." Her words were pleading while Lydia looked ready to kill. Carrie supposed this was completely fair, she would help hide the bodies.
"I'll promise not to say anything about what just happened," Allison let out a breath of relief while Carrie quirked a brow, "if you can tell me what the hell just happened."
"Tell her, Argent," Carrie told Allison quietly who winced. The image of Jackson hissing at her played on in her mind.
"It's complicated," Allison said vaguely. Lydie turned back to look at Carrie.
"Let's start with why Derek was there? Where Jackson went? What was wrong with Erica?" Lydia's voice rose in volume and Allison struggled with an excuse in silence. "Need a minute to come up with a plausible lie?" She guessed while a smile quirked on her lips.
"All great questions honestly. Derek was there because he's a creep. Jackson jumped out of the window because he's a douche bag. And Erica's allergic to the metal of Allison's arrow." Carrie lied.
Carrie had always been a terrible liar.
Allison let out a sigh, "Part of the reason I'm asking is that Scott and I aren't supposed to be seeing each other. Okay?" Carrie bristled as did Lydia.
Jackson is a killer snake and yet Allison only cares about her secret relationship. Her brother was killing people. Slashing at bodies till the look like lasagna with teeth. Carrie could feel the bile rise up her throat before Allison's voice interrupted her thoughts. "It's better if you keep what you know to yourself."
Lydia was pissed, "Fine. I'll keep what I know about you and your boyfriend, which is nothing, to myself." The strawberry blonde opened the door and Carrie felt pity run through her. Allison grabbed Lydia and pulled her back in causing Lydia to be even angrier.
Carrie felt stupid. She had been hearing Jackson's voice since she found out she could do it, and yet she couldn't place it while at the pool. If she did Derek would've killed him without a second thought. He had ordered her to be paralyzed and thrown into the woods.
"He's not just my boyfriend," Allison revealed. "You get that, right?" She asked, her eyes focused on Lydia's.
