Even if it's 1,629 miles away

~ CHAPTER 1~

It was April 02, 2019, when Vanya Reyes and her friends officially declared summer vacation!!! They are college seniors who planned this trip for several months now. They earned plenty of money for this trip. They even booked a 4-star hotel!

Where are they going? oh New York City of course~

The city that is so bright, it's called the "city that never sleeps..." ( what a mood :> )

The city that is filled with endless possibilities...

Vanya and her friends planned this trip perfectly. They were 100% sure that everything will go accordingly to plan.

Well... that's what they thought.

~ VANYA'S P.O.V ~

~Ringgg~ I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing on my nightstand.

VANYA REYES, The youngest and most childish in the group. Lazy but helpful to others.

My friend since 2nd grade, Abby, was calling me.

ABBY PARKER, The social butterfly of the group. You don't wanna mess with her when she's not in a good mood.

As I pressed the answer button she shouted "VANYAAAAAAA! What are you doing? It's already 11:00 am! We're all outside your dorm and we've been waiting for almost 10 minutes! Come on open the door already." "OHH sorry i'm coming." I said while chuckling.

I opened the door and all 6 of them burst into my room. As soon as I sat on my bed, Anne started scolding me.

ANNE EMERSON, The oldest of the group. Someone we can rely on. Has the soul of an eighty-year-old man.

"Hay nako Anya, wag ka kasi mag pupuyat!" ("My gosh Anya, Don't sleep late at night!") "Don't worry Anne, I won't." I replied with a smile on my face to make her feel reassured.

"So what are you guys doing here anyway?" I asked while I was fixing my bed. "You don't know?! but we've been planning this for months!" Naomi immediately replied.

NAOMI RYANS, Shortest in the group. Her voice is louder than bombs.

"Huh? What day even is it?" I asked while searching for my phone. "It's already April 02?!" I shouted.

"Yes! And that means it's time for some shopping!!!" Mae said while jumping up and down with Abby.

MAE DAWSON, The fashion icon of the group. Is very determined and easy to talk to.

All of us laugh at Mae and Abby's foolishness.

"Alright I'm gonna go change so we can go to the mall." I said while looking through the clothes in my closet.

"Hey Anya what's your wifi password?" Sasha asked while holding her phone with a cute panda on the back.

SASHA REMINGTON, The shyest among the group. The real-life "Bubbles" from Powerpuff Girls.

"Gimme your phone I have her wifi password." Lexi replied while reaching her hand out to Sasha. "Thanks Lex." Sasha replied with a smile.

LEXI ANDERSON, The Introvert in the group. Is Easy-going and a huge sports fan.

"Okay i'm done changing. Let's go to the mall!" I mentioned while grabbing my bag and keys from the table.

"FINALLY!" Everyone replies in unison then laughs. We hailed a taxi and safely arrived at the mall.

We didn't buy a lot of things, just the basic needs. After that, we all went home because tomorrow we will meet at Abby's house to talk about our schedule and what we will do on our trip.
