Even if it's 1,629 miles away

~ CHAPTER 40 ~

~ VANYA'S P.O.V ~

~ FLASHBACK ~

(An hour before Jungkook and Vanya meet up)

I was playing some games on my phone when Naomi shouted "Anya! Please come to the living room, we have to talk about something~"

"Okay, coming!" I shouted back as I put my phone down and headed out the bedroom. 

I entered the living room where everyone was and sat down on the couch. 

"What's going on?" I asked them since they had serious looks on their faces. I could tell that something was obviously wrong. 

"Our flight was supposed to be on the fifth of may but the school had emailed me and requested all students to come back immediately." Anne stated, shaking her head. 

"I booked us a flight for next Tuesday." Mae said as she let out a deep sigh. 

"Why does the school want us to go back though?" I asked, breaking the silence.

"Unfortunately, there was a mix up with the schedule so our summer vacation was cut a few weeks short." Naomi answered, feeling disappointed. 

"And what exactly is the problem?" Abby asked as she tilted her head to the side in confusion. 

"Well, first of all, Vanya has a boyfriend." Lexi replied, making everyone look at me.

"That's easy. We're gonna have a long distance relationship. Duh~" I stated.

Anne sighed and held my hand.

Please don't tell me this is what I think it is...

"Anya... didn't they say that idol trainees can't date? Honestly, i've been thinking about that for a long time now but I just let it pass since you were happy with Jungkook and seeing you happy, makes me happy as well..." Anne stated with a gloomy look on her face.

"So... are you suggesting w-we break up?" I stuttered, my voice slightly cracked at the end and I was on the verge of tears. 

"I'm sorry, Anya... but don't you want him to follow his dreams of becoming an idol?" Lexi asked, patting my back. 

"Plus, you need to focus on your studies, remember?" Naomi chimed in.

I want to be successful, I want him to be successful... even if I need to let him go... It's a depressing risk I have to take...

"But... can't we just stay?" Sasha asked as a tear dropped on her cheeks.

Sasha and Jimin started getting along quite well and so did the others. It's a hard decision for all of us to forget and act like nothing even happened but it's the only decision we have. 

"This is gonna hurt so bad~" Abby stated jokingly as she chuckled while wiping her tears, making us laugh as well. 

"I'm so sorry, girls... we shouldn't have come here in the first place, that way, we wouldn't be hurt..." Anne said as she shook her head. 

"Don't be sorry, Anne... if we didn't come here, we wouldn't have amazing memories of each other... right?" I stated, wiping my tears.

Those amazing memories will just stab us right in the heart. And sadly, all of us know that.

At this point, all of us were crying, some were even sobbing. 

We had a big group hug and calmed each other down. 

"I think I should say my goodbyes to Jungkook..." I stated as tears started to fall on my cheeks again. 

"Don't you want to wait until we leave?" Mae asked as she sniffled. 

"The sooner I tell him, the sooner he'll understand and let me go..." I replied in between sobs.

It broke my heart into pieces and the pain that I was feeling, was horrible. It was just... unbearable. 

"Yeah... i'm gonna go call Tae... I think you guys should too..." Abby said as she took her phone and went into the bathroom. 

A lot of hearts will be broken tonight... I thought to myself as I texted Jungkook to meet up. 

~ END OF FLASHBACK ~

I was walking back to my hotel when rain started pouring.

All I could think of was the memories me and Jungkook had. 

The thought of him being sad, hurt me, it hurts me so much that I felt numb, I didn't even realize that I was in the middle of an empty road, soaked in the rain and soaked in my own tears as well. 

Oh how I am going to miss you...
