Ayla,

The summer holidays are halfway through and I've still to figure out what am I going to do with my life. It's not for lack of options. It's just that I want to do something that I know I'm going to enjoy and the dream of owning my own  cafe is something I really want. I mean, I don't really need to go to college for that do I?

Maybe if I work my arse off for a good few years, saving and saving, it can be achievable. I practically know everything it entails running one, I have Amanda and My Place to thank for that. Speaking of Amanda I turn to look at her as she's going over the books and can't help but smile at the way she has a scarf wrapped around her neck.

Since she's being dating my Uncle Robert ,Amanda has found a fondness for  wearing  chiffon scarfs. ...wrapped snugly around her neck. The scarfs are very pretty as she has impeccable taste but sometimes like today where the weather is exceptionally hot, having a scarf wrapped around your neck doesn't sound or look very comfortable, even I have turned to wearing my hijab in a turban style with another thrown loosely to cover my modesty.

"Hey Amanda, I love the scarf!" I compliment her innocently, whilst wiping down the counter top, loving the blush that is creeping up her face.

"Er, Thank you Ayla, Robert bought it for me on my birthday." She fiddles with said scarf, rearranging it tightly.

Poor thing. She's dating a vampire it seems.

Amanda and Uncle Robert have been dating since I introduced them a couple weeks back. My uncle has even changed his work hours to the daytime now. Amanda has finally made him realise that there is more to life than work, work, work. Amanda on the other hand has transformed into a blushing school girl, who goes all mushy at the sound or the sight of My Uncle. I'm so thrilled that I've finally managed to bring these two together.

"Is Uncle Robert coming to pick you up later?" I continue to clean around the appliances. As It's Saturday I'm the only employee working and in a few hours we will be closing up like we normally do .

"Er Yes, Robert wants to take me to this cute little Italian restuarant." she sighs happily, running her finger through her shoulder length blonde hair.

"OOOhhh, fancy. Well, when are you and Uncle Robert going to come and meet the family? Mamma has been dying to see you both together". I come over a take a seat opposite her.

"I think It's going to be soon. Robert want's to make a good impression and so do I. Your mother is very important to him and he's so nervous about whether or not she will accept me as he's girlfriend." She nervously fiddles with the scarf.

"What!! Nervous! Uncle Robert??. Well there is no need, Mamma will love you. In fact I know she will. Do you know how happy she was when I told her about your first date together?" I reassure Amanda.

What she doesn't know is Mamma is already thinking about how many nephews and nieces Uncle Robert and Amanda will provide her. She can't wait for him to finally settle down with the woman of his dreams and have a family of his own and I think he's finally found that woman in Amanda.

"I'm just so nervous Ayla, I mean after Nick there has been no one else. Your Uncle is the first man in many years that I have taken an interest in, I didn't think it was possible for me to find someone else, but Robert makes me feels things that I have not felt in a very long time." She finishes quietly, trying to blink back the tears swimming in her beautiful, big eyes.

I take a hold of her slim hand in mine and give it a gentle squeeze. " Amanda you think you  found my Uncle, but you're wrong, it's my Uncle who has found you. Do you know how happy he is these days? He rings Mamma up constantly, talking about you non stop." She stills and looks at me with hope in her eyes.
