Chapter 14

    I woke up the next morning to my alarm pounding in my ear. I still have sniffles from the day before. Then I thought about why I had the sniffles and started crying again. I walked into the bathroom and brushed my hair out before I got into the shower. I didnt need a shower but I just stood there and let the water rain down while I cryed.

    I got out half an hour later and decided to put on my worn out, black skinny jeans and my black pierce the veil shirt with my grey vans. I put my hair in a messy bun. By then it was 7:25, so I went into the kitchen and made me some instant waffles in the toaster and chocolate milk. I ran back up to my room and grabbed Paper Towns and read for another 20 minutes until we left for the school.

    The ride felt like days while the girls put on country music so they felt "back at home." But I hate country music. I always have. But finally we got there in the middle of the 4th song. I was hysterical.

    In the middle of 2nd period, I started writing in my journal and I thought about Hailey and started crying. At the end of the period I ran to my locker and quickly put in my combination and it wouldn't open, then again and again wrong. I finally sat down and sobbed.

     "Are you okay? I saw you crying last period." The chick from the bathroom said. I slightly nod and she hugs me.

     "By the way, I'm Emily. What's your name?" I quietly said my name and pushed myself off the ground and opened my locker. I told her why I was crying and she told me about a time when something like that happened to her and her bestfriend. We had to go to the next period and we walked away from eachother.

                        *Lunch*

    I ran into Calum in the line. He asked why I was running into people yesterday. I told him just how bad I had to pee. He laughed at me. We decided that all the guys and us three girls should sit together. They asked about Hailey and Aija explained. I decided to talk to Ashton since we hadn't talked for afew days. Michael stared at Ashton everytime he said anything. Well it wasn't a stare.. I was like a glare. I finished eating the discusting chili quickly, so I got up and walked through the lunchroom passing tables filled with people staring.. some nerd slapped my butt.. what? idek.. I scurried through the line and back to the table. By then lunch was over. The rest of the day went by slow and gloomy  but it ended by the guys coming over. Around 2 hours after Ashton chugging down Mountain Dew, he finally had to pee and went to the downstairs bathroom. Michael asked me to show him where the other bathroom was. We headed upstairs and when we got to the top step I pointed out where it was. He told me to stop talking. I confusingly stopped. He walked up to me and leaned closer. When I noticed what he was planning to do I unthinkingly pushed him and ran down the stairs. I missed the second step and rolled the rest of the way down the stairs. I painfully got up and ran into Calum.

     "Girl, you need to stop running into me." He said in a girly tone. I smiled and ran to Ashton when I see him walking down the hallway. He freaked out when he saw me.

     "Mads, what's wrong?" He asked. Mads? Where did that come from? Oh well.

    "I was uupstairs showing Mmmichael the bathroom and he like uhmm tried to make out with me. I uhmm kinda like pushed him and like fell down the stairs.." I mumbled. By then Michael was walking down the stairs.

    "WHAT THE HELL, MICHAEL!" Ashton screamed. Michael just huffed. Ashton looked like a tomato.. very red tomato.

     "Why? You have Aija that you have a 'thing' with. Why my girl?" Ash exclaimed. My girl. Ahh. Aija looked upset. I hadn't noticed her and Michael were even together.

      "We should go now guys." Luke said toward nobody in general. All the guys started to grab there things but Ashton stayed stiff.

      "I'm not riding in the same car as that douche bag. I'll find another ride." Ashton rolled his eyes. Michael flicked him off and walked out the door. Wow. The other guys said bye and walked out. Ashton got a ride 30 minutes later. Only if Hailey was there to see it. Just crazy.
