Time to Tell you

It's been exactly three weeks since my little "welcoming" party. Ashton and I have talked non stop. He is really starting to grow on me. His brown eyes melt my heart and his beautiful wavy hair and killer smile. I'm not saying I've already fallen for him but I can tell you it is a possibility.

I haven't been able to properly visit my parents in a while but I have planned a week in two months, so February, when Jocelyn and I will fly back to Batavia, Ohio and visit. Speaking of Jocelyn, she has really grown to like Hornsby. Her doctors and nurses are uberly enthusiastic and sweet. They're exactly what she needs, I know I should be what she needs but I can't seem to find a way to get close to her again. Any time we were together and she wasn't in the hospital we had our parents. I have never, ever been alone with her. Well maybe once but dad didn't leave the house he just went to pay the pizza guy.

*BUZZ* *BUZZ*

From: Ashton

"Are you busy? I'd like to take you out!"

Aaaggghhh. This is so surreal.

To: Ashton

"Nope, come on over!!!🙆😝"

*BUZZ* *BUZZ*

From:Ashton

"Sounds good, I'll be there in a few!😁"

I know it's crazy but I am definitely in to this dude!

*Two hours later*

I'm in the midst of curling my hair. Three pieces left. I am wearing a blue and white striped T-shirt with some jeans and brownish combat boots. I have no idea where we are going so I thought that I would keep it simple!

"Knock, knock." I giggle at the fact that Ashton said 'knock, knock' instead of actually knocking. He is so adorable.

"Come on in, I'm in the bathroom." I holler down stairs.

"Are you decent?" I'm not if you don't want me to be.

"I am." As he walks in he has the biggest smile on his face! I wonder what he has in store for us? "So, where are we going?"

"It was going to be a surprises but since you seem to hate them," he laughed, "We are going to 'District 3'."

"District 3?"

"Laser tag, bungee run and more sun stuff. It's fun as hell!" It actually sounds really exciting.

"Well, that sounds exciting. I'm super pumped. I remember when my dad took me to scallywag for the first time, laser tag. Anyway, I was twelve and he had to talk me into it. It took him a good twenty minutes. I couldn't say no, he wanted me to go so badly," I can tell he is enjoying my story. He hasn't stopped smiling once nor has he taken his eyes off of me, "when I said yes he literally jumped with joy. Made me laugh so hard. Anyway, when we got there I had the worst and best experience of my life, up until then, of course. When we got there I saw my boyfriend at the time holding hands and sharing some nachos with my best friend. I cried, of course, but my dad was right there," I can feel the tears coming and I think Ashton can see them but I go on with my story, "he told me "Tinleigh Gertrude Santado, you are young and beautiful and you have your whole life ahead of you. One day you will find somebody-" that's when it hit me, I just let them fall. He took me into his arms and we stayed like this for a good ten minutes until I calmed down. He was confused I could see it in his eyes.

"Are you homesick, lovely?

"Even if I was, it wouldn't make a difference. My parents passed away not too long ago and I haven't really gotten over it. I am just now able to reminisce. I would usually go and visit them on Fridays before I moved here." He gave me the look everybody does. But also a new look fills with hope and understanding and he said these simple words that put me in a life kind of mood.

"Sounds like a smart man and knowing you this little bit of time any guy would be lucky enough to be with you. Are you ready to go?"

"Thank you, Ashton. I am in fact ready." And with that we left.

I am glad I had somebody here when I fell apart and it makes me even happier to that it was Ashton. This beautiful guy would be the one to save me. Or at least I hope he would be!
