Chapter 8 : Let's Celebrate, Shall We?

Third Person's Point of View.

Everyone is gathered up at the dining table. Seokjin and Jimin are preparing the food, while Jungkook watches them, mouth agape, drooling over the seaweed soup.

Taehyung sighs as he watches Namjoon put a candle on top of Jimin's cake before illuminating it using a lighter that Jimin has.

He should be happy because it's Jimin's birthday today. He must be happy. But how is he supposed to be happy if he is in the same room as his stepbrother?

Seconds later, there's a knock on the door and there's speedy Jungkook who runs towards the doorway to open it. "Hi!" he greets, smiling at the two guys standing outside Jimin's apartment.

"Hello!" Yoongi and Hoseok greet back, smiling too.

"Come in, come in!" Jungkook doesn't know them but since they're Jimin's visitors, he lets them in. Because according to him, "The more the marrier." What a cliché! "I'm Jungkook, by the way."

"Hi, Jungkook! I'm Yoongi. And this is Hoseok." Yoongi then points at Hoseok who just waves at Jungkook.

"Yoongi hyung! You're early. It's only two o' clock." Taehyung suddenly stands up from his seat, "What's that?" and then he points at the plastic bags Yoongi's holding.

"Yeah, we got excited." Yoongi laughs. "We bought 10 bottles of soju." he lifts the plastic bags to show them to Taehyung.

"Fuck, yeah!" Jungkook screams and Seokjin slaps his arms. "Ouch!"

"Language!" the oldest glares at the youngest. He then sat next to his husband.

Jimin flashes a thin smile before grabbing the plastic bag from Yoongi. "Let's celebrate, shall we?" he sits on his seat.

"We shall." Taehyung replies, sitting back on his seat, next to Jimin's.

"But before we eat, let Jimin wish first and then blow his candle." Namjoon announces and everyone agrees.

"Do I really have to wish? Can I just blow the candle?" Jimin shyly asks, "I think my wish has already granted."

"Really?" Namjoon asks, smiling, "What is it?"

"My wish was to celebrate my birthday with my friend..." he then looks at Taehyung and immediately looks away, "...s, with my friends." he smiles.

"Aww, Jimin-ah, that's sweet! But don't you have another wish?" Seokjin says, aware of what just happened.

"Well..." Jimin begins and looks at Taehyung again quickly, "Can Taehyungie wish for me?"

Taehyung widen his eyes, pointing at himself. A red tint starting to form on his cheeks. "Me?"

Jimin nods, "Yeah. Wish for me."

Taehyung stares at the older for a few seconds before speaking. "I wish for Jimin to be healthy and happy always."

"Oh my gosh, you two are damn cute together!" Hoseok squeals, clinging onto Yoongi's arm. The latter just lets him.

"Thank you." Jimin said to Taehyung then finally blows his candle. He also mentally thanked Hoseok for thinking they're cute together.

Wait, no, they're not cute together, he denies right away.

"Yey! Happy birthday, Jimin-ssi!" they all greet him at the same time.

"This is actually my first time celebrating my birthday ever since I moved in here. Like, a real celebration." Jimin suddenly said when they gathered up at the living room, sitting on the floor, each of them are holding a glass of soju. Well, except for Taehyung. "I really wanna thank you, guys, for celebrating with me. Even though I don't pretty much remember some of you." he softly bit his lower lip.
