Hayli chuckled and then pushed me to the ground. She the took my backpack and poured it all out all over the hallway.
Hayli- You deserve this you weak bitch
She the. Slapped me in the face. I was to weak to do anything.
Girl- HEY QUIT THAT!!!
I turned my head and saw a girl walking towards us and I recognized her.
Maggie Lindemann
She's the rebel of the school. She smokes. She drinks. She skips. She is goth. She doesn't have any friends. She is known for getting in trouble a lot. She's been kicked out of 4 schools for smoking in the halls and fighting. You never wanted to mess with her. EVER. She is not the person to mess with.
I was cut off from my thoughts when Maggie approached us.
Hayli was in complete shock.
Maggie- WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING?
Hayli- Telling this bitch that's she's nothing duh.
Maggie slammed Hayli into the locker and pushed her against it.
Maggie- WHAT I DIDNT HERE YOU
Hayli then looked at me and mouthed
"Slut"
Maggie- THATS IT
Maggie then punched Hayli straight in the jaw. Hard. Hayli dropped to the ground holding her jaw looking at me with angry eyes. Her "crew" then picked her up and carried her down to the nurses office. Maggie came over to me and put her hand out. I hesitated until she said
Maggie- You coming or what.
I grabbed her hand and we started to run down the hallway and out of the school. I didn't know where we were going but I just stayed silent.
When we stopped running we were at an abandoned carnival. We started walking and Maggie sat down on a bench that looked like it would crash and fall any minute now. Maggie patted a seat next to her and pulled out a pack of cigarettes. She lit one and stuck it in her mouth.
Marie- Can I have one?
Maggie smiled and handed me one with a black lighter. I lit it and put it in my mouth. It released so much stress in my body. It felt good.
Maggie- I need to talk to you.
Marie- Yes.
Maggie- I'm not what you think I am.
Marie- What are you a ghost or some shit
Maggie- No. It's just. I was sent to protect you.
Marie- Sent. By who.
Maggie- Your not gonna take this easy alright.
Marie- Uh okay.
Maggie- I'm...
