Alex:
Scott led me to the Professor’s study. Like yesterday, I was tagging behind him; only this time, his pace had slowed down- a lot- and once or twice, he even checked whether or not I was keeping up.
He was even nicer to me today. I mean, he certainly didn’t apologize for yesterday, but he did greet me good morning…
Not before he acted like he had a seizure, though. Seriously, when he turned around to face me, I though he was having an epileptic fit. He didn’t say a word for a few seconds (at first, I thought he was mad at me for touching his jacket or something), was staring at me like he was stunned… in fact, I think he even had problems with his breathing! What was that about? It was too bad I couldn’t see his eyes though. I could tell a lot about what the person was thinking by looking into their eyes.
He recovered quickly though, and after bringing me back to my room so I could have a quick change of clothes, escorted me to see the Professor.
Which was where I was, right now. I was standing in front of the Professor’s office closed doors. I gulped, feeling nervous- it was like the first day of school again, only this time, I was being brought straight to see the headmaster by a stranger. Scott gave me a small smile- at least, I thought it was a smile- his features seemed softer, anyhow- knocked on the Professor’s door on my behalf, and disappeared.
Great. He dumped me!
The doors swung open, and the Professor looked up from his Mahogany desk. He smiled welcomingly.
“Ah, Alexandria Hayden. Welcome to Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. I’ve been expecting you,” he said, as I stepped gingerly into the room. Behind me, the doors shut quietly, on their own accord.
