Somewhere, far far away, I saw something red flicker. I tried to reach up my hands to catch it, but that thing seemed an eternity away. I thought I heard a deep, soothing voice, calling out my name, pleading, but I couldn’t be too sure.
I wanted to respond, but I both didn’t have the strength, and didn’t want to do so. Wherever I was, I knew I was safe from my nightmares. The red light disappeared again, and I felt myself being engulfed in nothingness.
